I was a Fender man for years. Fender instruments are made in Mexico. Ibanez is a Japanese company, the factory is in Indonesia. I’m very pleased with this bass. Setup instructions are very useful and easy to follow without a technician. Properly set up it is a joy to play. It’s lighter than most, and has no cheap components, though when you’re ready to upgrade the sky’s the limit.💖💖

Bass guitar came in great condition, polished wood body was exactly the look I wanted! Plays well, able to learn by ear, and promises a great future in music performance!

I was thinking I would get the dark walnut color that is featured in the photo provided by the seller. Instead it was the "flat" walnut color that looks kind of greenish with the brown, kind of like a pistachio nut. HEADS UP!

This is a good buy for the would-be bassists who want something slightly better than say, an 100$ bass. Especially considering the fact that the right-handed version cost a fair amount less than this left-handed version. Controversial opinion maybe, but at this level money does affect quality. This was my first bass, and while I played guitar before, I wasn't sure how good or long it'd take me to get proficient in it. So, this was a good purchase and a good bass well above absolute beginner-level quality. It's got active pickups, I recommend changing the 9v battery in the back relatively soon. It has its own Allen wrenches for action adjustments, played well, frets weren't sharp, things weren't loose except the tone dials are of lower quality than I'd would've liked. The strings are round-wound and come all set in the box and just need tuning. Would recommend to the aspiring Paul McCartney's out there.

Truss rod was damaged. Action was terrible. A terrible starter bass for any new player. Grab a Squier or Sire bass to start with or shell out the price for a Fender.
