Bought two sets here, two sets in other places, all four sets the B-string taper started about a half inch before reaching the nut. It can be shimmed with a piece of paper in the nut to make it playable, but that's not acceptable for OEM strings.

I run these on a 4 string concert bass tuned to C standard. They're the only strings available for this purpose. Turn up the fuzz and melt into it.

I had none of the issues around string length that other reviews mention. I score it only 3 on vfm because it’s really stupid that Ibanez don’t fit these at the factory. These are the only strings that fit the guitar and I think it’s the only guitar they fit so why put awful, dead Chinese ones on the new instrument, the difference was night and day

Work great on the Mikro bass. That model has a much shorter scale than most basses--even shorter than many "short-scale" basses. So I am glad to have strings specifically designed to fit on the Mikro. They sound good, and have consistent tone. I find them easy to play.

When I originally got my Mikro bass, the strings that came on it were like "slinky strings", which are ok if you WANT to bend your notes, but otherwise a giant pain in the butt. These strings are PERFECT, great sound quality, sturdy, a tad bit pricey if you ask me, but worth every penny. Definitely my new "go to" string replacements.

Dont be dumb like me and order the wrong strings! These are for a shorter micro bass and therefor too short for my regular sized bass. Be smart. Unlike me

The bass arrived in a timely fashion, though not set-up, and is overall a good buy. The option of shipping with a fitted hard shell case would an option worth paying for in my opinion. The short scale is not for everyone but the weight and playability is a plus for guitarists who want a bass as a second instrument and/or don't want to live with an indent in a shoulder.

I bought these for my 5 string Mikro bass. They are very good short scale strings with a decent B string. I'm amazed they can squeeze this kind of performance from short scale strings. I use D'Addario Pro Steels on my full scale basses, but arthritis pushed me to buy a short scale. I upgraded the bass with Carvin humbucking J pickups, a blend pot and a three band active preamp. I will be happy to keep using these coated nickel strings.
