The guitar showed up on time and as always with Liberty Music, in perfect condition. I love the guitar. Ibanez being my favorite guitar manufacturer. The little e tras Liberty Music sends along with the guitar always adds something special.

I am an Ibanez fan. This is my 5th Ibanez guitar. Of the 20 guitars in my collection, I reach for an Ibanez the vast majority of the time. HOWEVER, I cut my finger on the fret edge right after picking it up for the first time. The fret craftsmanship is absolutely disappointing for a name like Ibanez.

Took a hot minute to get here via USPS, which in itself is nerve racking considering USPS doesn't exactly handle packages like kid gloves (probably cheapest way to deliver for the seller to make a profit idk?) The nut looks like it's been replaced and used too much glue as you can see in the picture how it's overflowing into the fret board. Right below the tuners there are three indentations/grooves in the wood possibly when they refurbished it this was where the guitar was held in place. Input jack is missing paint and has saw dust or some left-over compound in it (this personally doesn't bother me out of sight out of mind, but most likely could have an effect on the pickup) Lastly the volume and tune controls were incredible crooked or off centered....??? They worked but man what a terrible eye sore as if they were screwed in on an angle or missed the grooves?? All and all I'll be returning this for a refund, who knows maybe I was just unlucky and got a badly manufactured guitar from them... but other things seem a bit iffy like I was trying to be sold a refurbished guitar at a new guitar price. Things I don't really mind there is no "S series" label on the head (even though the picture for the item has "S series" on the head) and the fret board was extremely dark... like darker than rosewood almost artificial but that could be my imagination.

Short version:(-) Poor build quality(-) Guitar not fully assembled when it arrived.(-) Bridge in not located correctly, cannot set intonation.(-) Disappointed in Ibanez. The full story:After reading many positive reviews, I was elated when this guitar arrived on my door step. The first thing I did was rush inside and plug this thing up to my amp. That's when the disappointment set in.Some assembly required...The output jack wasn't assembled to the guitar body. It had over 1/4" of play in the body. So I pulled the backplate off and tightened down. I have no idea how something this obvious leaves a factory.Next, I took a look at the pots. I found that the knobs had been pressed on so far that they were tight against the body of the guitar and could not be rotated. The pots were also not fully tightened. I corrected both of these issues. However, the volume knob had been pressed into the body to the point where it damaged the finish. So my brand new guitar has its first blemish. Before I have played one note on it.With tools in hand, I figured I better check the rest of the guitar. Sure enough, two of the neck bolts were very loose, requiring several turns of the screw driver to tighten them. But, now at least the guitar is fully assembled. And there are still issues...Finally, I could play the guitar. And I found that the action was set too high. At least for me. I ended up bringing each saddle down by 1-3/4 rotations on each set screw. I broke out the radius gauge and trued the strings to the neck radius (it appears they were all just set flat originally). It's still a little higher than I would like it, but any lower and a couple of strings would start to buzz. I'm guessing there is a fret or two that are too high and need to be leveled. That will be for another time. (At least the neck was straight!)I tuned it up and went on to setting the intonation. Each string was about a half step flat one octave up. The E, B and e strings all ran out of adjustment (the saddle screws were not long enough) before they could be brought into tune. The other strings are almost to the same point. The best I can tell, the bridge was installed on this guitar a 1/4" to 1/2" too far away from the neck. At this point I was frustrated and didn't want to start drilling new holes into my brand new guitar. I set it up here and left it.Final thoughts...Maybe I just got the last guitar off of the assy line on 5pm on a Friday (or whenever they quit working where this was built). Maybe the quality control team took the day off when this was built. It had me wondering if I had been scammed with a knockoff copycat of an Ibanez. Looking at it a little more, this doesn't appear to be the case. But who knows.I know this is only a $400 guitar. But for that money, I expect the guitar to at least be put together. And for that money, I would really like the guitar to be playable after a setup. But, that's now what I got for my money. After being really excited to get this guitar, I was left very disappointed in Ibanez.

It’s lightweight which I personally love. I hate working with big monstrosities. The neck is wide, easy to strum chords. The sound is great to me and it’s beautiful. Someone indicated this is not a legitimate Ibanez. I can assure you that it is. I bought the warranty and registered my purchase on the Ibanez website using my model and serial number and received a confirmation.

I love a lot about this guitar.Pros: It is light. the neck is fast. It Never goes out of tune. It sounds amazing, full tones. Its so easy to play. Easy to String and Tune. Packaging was great.Cons. Knobs feel slightly sticky but its VERY minor. If you are into dive/whammy bars sorry, spend a little more on a GEM or a RGBut I love this guitar i keep comin back, HIGHLY recommend for beginners to intermediate players looking to grow and see if guitar is something they are really into before dropping thousands on a pro GEM, Strat, or LP

This guitar is a simple instrument, without any fancy electronics or hardware, that really impresses by its quality. Its super light, and the contoured body lets it hang close to your body. The neck is wider and thinner than a les paul, with a satin back that makes it fast to play.Would take this over a stray any day
