Just got a new refrigerator less than a week ago. It makes two kinds of ice; the regular ice cubes that are dispensed at the door, plus “craft ice”, which are the large balls of ice. The big solid balls really do stand up to a drink with less melt as advertised. The craft ice balls just congregate in a plastic bin. But it seemed so crass to have to reach in and grab those balls with your hands. Certainly you wouldn’t want guests to have to just grab their balls any which way. Hence the most elegant solution. Gold ice tongs. Who wouldn’t want such a posh addition to their ice bin. They add a touch of James Bond.At first I was concerned that perhaps they were too small, that they wouldn’t open wide enough to handle such large balls, but that’s not the case. They stand up to the job and are ready for more. I just leave mine in the freezer bin so they’re ready. If you have an issue with big balls - of ice or whatever - these little beauties are up to the task. Don’t let that craft ice cause concern - the balls are big, but you’re prepared. What more could you ask for in a set of ball grabbers! And if James Bond shows up at your next soirée, you’ll be ready to handle his balls, too!

This set of tongs worked great with our snack container for a picnic play date.The grip on them worked fine and there's a good heft to the tongs so you don't have to worry about them snapping like the cheaper disposable plastic onces.The color's great and went well with a white tray.
