This is a sleek design which aerates wine very well. Has a screen in the top so it works for older wines.

Perfectly designed decanter/aerator. This decanter is made of lead-free hand-blown glass and has a stainless steel topper. The attractive part is the "iceberg" blown into the bottom of the decanter. When you pour your wine, you place your fingers into the indentation of the "iceberg" so that you have a sturdy grip on it. The decanter holds a 750 ml bottle of wine perfectly. The topper has a double wall and a strainer so that when you pour the wine through it, if there are any sediments, it will strain them out. Also, because of the double wall, there is no chance of wine dripping down the side or splash onto your table. I have had other decanters and this one is far superior to the others. It is functional and very attractive. Worth buying it and I highly recommend it.

The built-in aerator is a trade-off: it makes it easy to aerate the wine as you pour from the bottle into the carafe, but you have to remove the metal aerator before you pour anything into your glass. It's not a bad trade-off, but traditionalists will likely skip the metal altogether. The "iceberg" design is 1,000% a matter of personal preference; I definitely like that it takes up less space, both vertical and horizontal, in the cabinet than many old-school decanters, which rely on sheer surface area rather than mechanical aeration.

Beautiful set-up and pour Aerates and catches sediment well. A high quality product.

This would be great for your home or as a gift. It is a bit more special than a regular decanter/carafe because it looks like there's some craftsmanship in it. Constructed with quality pieces and hand-blown glass. I would not be embarrassed to give this as a gift. Value is well worth the $33 price point which I took into serious consideration. Cannot go wrong if you are in the market for one of these.

This is my 4th decanter and takes up the least storage space among all 4.The second contendor takes just bit more space but does not have a built in aerator like this does.Aaaaanyway..Aerator does a great job spreading liquid for maximum oxidation.Iceberg is a nice addition for the visuals.Recommend for a gift idea.
