This radio was a very good kit for a DIY FM radio that has quite reasonable reception. The soldering was at a good level for someone with limited experience. There are two issues - first, there is not a USB charging option, so you have to take the case of the radio apart to change the two AAA batteries. Also, it seems to preset channels when first used and I'm not sure how to add or remove channels or just step through the frequencies in the FM band. If you want to give soldering together an FM radio a try, this is a great place to start.

This was very entertaining to build. i did it with my nephew and it was a wonderful activity to do together.

This was a fun little project for me and my son to learn with. We put it all together in about an hour, then spent another hour converting it to rechargeable per my own design. Sounds pretty good and receives signal well enough for the price point. No extra parts if you lose or break something, so be careful! My son loves his new radio.

I actually got it for the radio IC for a project i'm working on. I've tested that and it works well. I like that it comes with everything inside it's own plastic shell. All parts appear to be included. I'll be buying more.

Super easy. Lots of fun. No missing parts. Fully functional. Recommended for starters. I was able to teach beginners how to lay down a good solder with this kit.

This is a great assisted build!SO fun to have created your own working radio!!Try to do clean/neat sodering, this is where some practice or assistance might be helpful.Love everything about it EXCEPT the power issues.. the micro usb that is included does not power it. Batteries work, but you have to take apart the radio by a bit to change them out. Poor place to end off this design. Please put out version 2.0 that makes it rechargeable or has an accessible battery compartment

The usb that’s included doesn’t power this radio! (Hidden in the fine print) also the batteries are inside of the case and the case has to be disassembled and the antenna jags to be unscrewed and removed to change the batteries! This was a good kit, but these items make it worthless!
