I was hesitant, based on the cost and the product reviews. Every part fit perfect. The gaskets were thinner, but did the job well. The power valve was very important to come with a kit as I think this is what caused the surging at mid RPM.

Nothing is right except gaskets. Float seat and needle valve is slightly longer, which is impossible to adjust float height. Gaskets partially torn, had to use silicone in that gasket area. Accelerator pump/power valve didn't fit too small in diameter. Had to re-use everything. Waste of time.

main body gasket is folded and may be unusable, critical gasket which I am trying to use. overall parts are made to bare minimum standards and I am reusing as many old parts as possible.

I really needed this parts kit fast. It took well over a week to get it. There was no option to pay for faster delivery.I only needed the 2 gaskets and they fit ok with the venturi group gasket needing a bit of trimming.

You get what you pay for. First off opening the package everything seemed to be there and was gaskets actually are half decent but the accelerator pump was as cheap as can be and I didn't trust it. I used the old one originally in the carburetor since the cup was bigger thicker and not torn and still worked fine. The float was cheap that came in the kit but did float like it should. Now to the part I should of used the old one or get a different kit was the needle and seat. Looked cheap but bad could it be. Well it was as bad as it gets first start up wouldn't allow the fuel pump to open didn't realize it since why would something new fail like that well it did after finally getting it running bogging a bit but stayed running after several minutes and got better with time it seemed. We needed up taking the boat out after getting it running and idleing at the dock on the 3rd of july with people lined up at the launch to get in we take off on the water get a little ways from the launch and it shuts off so we tried starting it again and a again to were it would run for a second shut off run for a second shut so decided to tear down the carb while we are baking in the sun with the boat rocking pretty good. After tearing it down noticed the bowl pretty much empty the foot clear of everything but the needle would not come out of the seat looking closer it looks like there isn't even a relief in the seat which I should of caught that assembling the carb but it caused the soft neoprene needle to get caught and would let fuel in so I did the best I could to make it work but every atemp failed and had to haul the boat back to the launch to take it all the way home 2 hrs away. Moral of the story you get what you pay for won't buy again

Have been rebuilding carbs for over sixty years and this was a less than medium quality kit. Gaskets were thin, needle and seat didn't fit properly and accelerator pump assembly wasn't very well made. This kit was for a Mercury Marine 2BBL carburetor.
