This is an easy plug and play replacement part. Easy to install. Works, but the key position is a little off from the position indicator on the dash. No problem. Turn the key to the right and the starter kicks in. Once started let go and it slides back to the on position. Turn it left from there and the Rhino shuts off.

Got this to replace the ignition key switch on my 2005 Yahama Rhino 660. The previous owner buggered the old switch. This went into the dash very cleanly and easily.[The Clip] Make sure the clip works for you. Looks like some IGN switches on these are MALE and some FEMALE. This one is FEMALE.I was missing the weather tight clip connection entirely. I just had bare wires from an old lawn mower IGN switch. I thought I could buy that 4-prong pigtail. It turned out to be difficult/proprietary to find. So, I ordered another switch like this that had the MALE end on the end of about 6 inches of wires going directly into the other ignition switch. I just cut the cables off and discarded the second ignition switch. It was only $10, and cheaper than buying and building my own pigtail(plus, I got a spare IGN switch too). After making secure cable connections, it’s back to a factory weathertight clip connection. So, disconnect is easy and the wire loom looks neat.Wire connections are like so:(From Back)+———————-+———————+| Brown/lite Blue. | Red. || To IGN fuse | ACC On. ||. Always (+) | To Starter Sol ||. | bottom right. |+—————-——+————-—-—-+| Black. | Blue w/ Black || GND. | START On. || Screw in frame | to Starter Sol. || or Black wire | top left |+———————-+———————-+
