Der Tamper garantiert eine senkrechte Druckverteilung, es ist kein Verkanten möglich; sehr homogenes Ergebnis im Puck. Durch die Tiefeneinstellmöglichkeit ist er anpassbar an Siebeinsätze und Kaffeemengen, allerdings ist das keine Schnellverstellung sondern die möglichst optimale Anpassung an den individuellen Standardfall.

Forget regular tampers. Palm tampers are easier, often self-leveling and more fun to use as well as quicker. Oh, if your a pro they will save your wrist. This one has a hefty, solid feel. It's virtually impossible to mess up the tamp and tamps to 30 pounds pressure. There's only one I like better which is the adjustable but very pricey Saint Anthony Industries tamper, non-calibrated but self-leveling and a work of art. If you are on a budget you won't go wrong with IKAPE.

Der Tamper kommt aus den USA, in einer dünnen Versandtüte. In meinem Fall war die Umverpackung der Tüte und alles lag einzeln drin. Dadurch ist der Tamper bereits vermackt. Allerdings wurde der Tamper als Geschenk verschenkt und gefiel trotzdem. Retoure in die USA und neue Bestellung würde zudem ewig dauern…

This is a solid palm tamper for Breville/Sage espresso machines that use 54mm portafilters.It applies 30kg of pressure uniformly across your puck, and the ripple pattern on the base helps even out your water distribution while extracting.It has a pretty signifiant amount of heft to it, so applying pressure with your palm while tamping is very easy. While larger than some other spring-loaded palm tampers out there, this one does it's job well and is really simple to use.It's also very well made, using durable materials and stainless steel, and the overall quality of the product seems high and it should last a long time. It fits 54mm Breville/Sage portafilters perfectly, with no issues at all.Its very easy to use, does its job well, and has been a solid addition to my espresso toolkit. The only potential downside with this tamper is that you can't trade out the springs for other pressures, but I prefer something stronger like 30kg so this works well for me.
