I received the product open. The box noticed the right bottom corner had a major dent in it so I got a hold of ITKTCH I spoke to Cindy the company re she was 100%. out to help me in fact, she gave me $100 gift card. I decided to keep the purchase I can live with the dent but we talk back-and-forth via email and she was really helpful so I would recommend this company 100% five star rating product is amazing thank you !Ed R

As others have noted, installing this hood under an 8' ceiling is a problem. I opted to use just one of the duct covers. First I drilled holes through the top plate and the supporting 2x4s in the attic to take 4 long bolts. Then I attached the flexible duct to the fan assembly. I attached the top plate to the "angle irons" and then to the fan & hood assembly on the counter top. I then slid the duct cover over from the top. Using the cardboard box it came in and bits of lumber I elevated the hood until the top plate was in position snug on the ceiling. Now the hard part: I crawled into the attic and working through the duct hole, jiggled the top plate around until I could slide the bolts from the bottom through the top plate and 2x4s, and then I installed washers and nuts. Tightening the nuts cinched the assembly nice and firmly to the ceiling.I think I could have come up with a better design to make installation a lot less challenging. For one, everything is assembled with frustrating tiny little nuts and bolts. Bring your good glasses!5/17/2024 update: I was contacted by Iktch and they generously resolved the issues I had to my satisfaction. Now that the hood is installed we are very pleased with the looks, performance, and the quality of the product. Updated 3 stars to 5 stars.

I first ordered the iKtch 36' island range hood from Amazon. Unfortunately, the first product's engine vibrates significantly, touches the metal cover and generates a unbearable amount of noise. Then I requested a replacement from Amazon, they did send a replacement but unfortunately the glass was broken during shipping...Not sure whether I still want to try. But agree this hood looks good.

Replaced an old island vent from a major brand paid $$$$ a while back. This one looks better and performs better than the one I replaced for 1/4th the price. Installation was fairly simple and easy. The inner sleeve was a little tight with their screws, but I used some very flat sheet metal screws and that solved it.

We needed to replace an old ceiling vent over the island in our kitchen. After reviewing various options, we chose this IKITCH mainly for its sleek, attractive look and max fan speed of 900CFM. It has 4 settings for the fan level which is nice when you don't need the full power. It's very quiet at the lower setting and not horribly loud at the highest. Other desirable features include 4 dimmable lights, and for the fan both touchless and remote control. I had several questions before purchasing. Another factor in my choice of this hood from this company: Cindy in customer service was very helpful in responding to my queries immediately and thoroughly. She also followed up to make sure I was satisfied before and after my purchase. This contact with the company is importantly assuring when purchasing an expensive appliance over the internet.

la hotte est très difficile à installer, si votre plafond fait moins de 10', vous devrez couper la cheminée d'inox parfaitement car c'est visible. Cette cheminée qui recouvre le tuyau de ventilation et le support de la hotte ne rentre pas librement. Il faut la rentrer avec force, elle est trop petite et frotte sur les vis du support. Les jeux de tolérance dimensionnels ne sont pas bons si bien que la cheminée a dessoudé et s'est ouverte.Finalement le vendeur ma fait un crédit raisonnable.

I needed a hood to suck grill smoke out of my outdoor kitchen area. It is under a flat roof section against a window into kitchen. So very important to NOT have a lot of smoke as the wind will push it into any opening on this side of house. Everything I read said to get a 1200+ cfm fan, but I found none with such a nice low profile as this one, although it is 900 cfm. It does an adequate job of removing most smoke, but not all of it as is probably to be expected. To further reduce effectiveness, It would have blocked our views if set the recommended 33" above grill surface, so we are quite a bit higher.The fan is truly quiet and no issues with gesture controls or using remote. The lighting is more than adequate. My biggest challenge was having to mount closer to the roof than the included square duct covers would allow. I had to cut metal brackets and shrouds down with a metal cutoff saw, which turned out being much easier than it sounds. So if you are at all handy or have a handy person assisting, do NOT let this factor stop you from buying. It can be done!I feel this is ideally suited for over a standard range, but also works okay for over a grill. Problem is when grill lid is closed, the smoke comes out the back well behind the vents and when grill lid is open, the smoke comes out well in front of the vents. I added Plexiglas to divert the smoke from back up into vents that I remove after cooking. (not shown). I am working on a more permanent solution for basically expanding the hood wider and lower with plexiglass to not block window AND capture more smoke.Bottom line is I would buy this again. It is beautiful and well made and great stainless steel. It gets 65% of the smoke out of the area and my wife loves it. The latter being very important! Oh, and the price was right too.
