I purchased this for stamping into wood. It did okay but would have worked better if the star was more defined and deeper cut. With that said, I was happy with the end result.

The stamp is light even when striking aluminum. It is also small so holding it is not easy when striking it. It is strong and it can take a hit.

This is a very good stamp. The impression is deep and easy to get with a good whack, and the tilt/tap method. Not a huge fan of IA stamps, but maybe it's this "signature" series that makes it better.
