So I'm not actually using this shifter lever on an XR, I'm using it on a KLX300. It's slightly longer than the factory lever, feels much sturdier, and grips better when riding through mud or after water crossings. It is a little more than some of the cheapo knock-off shifter levers, but this is clearly a high quality product, and works great, holds up even after me taking plenty of spills due to me not being the best rider out there. I would take this all day over any of the other gaudy anodized products you can find on Amazon, looks better too.For reference, I wear size 11 Tech 7 boots, and this works perfectly for me. I would recommend a slightly longer shifter like this to anyone who has larger than size 9 feet.

I bought this because I didn't want to order any cheap chinese junk off ebay I think the chinese junk would have been better. The beam is very thin and easy to bend and the plastic peace on the end looks very cheap. It did fit okay but should really be made of thicker steel or at least have some heat treatment.

If you have a Honda Xr650l just stick with the OEM shifter. This product isn’t as long. Makes it difficult to shift. Seems to have less leverage

I really like having larger foot pegs but it makes for a tighter fit on the shift lever with size 11 boots. I read on a Kawasaki forum guys using this lever and so I gave it a try. So far it seems to be a great fit. It was a little difficult threading the bolt on. You have to completely remove the bolt, install the lever and then thread the bolt from the bottom. There's not much room for a 10mm wrench but it's possible. Also I gave it a slight bend inward prior to install just for my preference. Hope this helps. Safe riding!

I used this to replace OEM gear lever in Honda XR650L. It works fine and is sturdy, although it being stronger than OEM (which bends easily) can cause damage to stator cover if dropped. I dropped the bike while stationary and the lever dug into the stator cover and made a small hole in it (I had to change the cover). I now have bought a stator cover protector that I will install soon.

I got this shift lever to replace a bent one on my 2019 Versys-X 300. It fits perfectly and is longer than the oem to accomade my foot better. Easy to install.

As others have noted, it'll sit at a different 'level' than the stock lever. This was what I was looking for, I needed a little bit higher but not as much as one 'spline' on the stock unit.In this position it did hit the front sprocket cover however that piece is plastic and easily modified to allow for full range of motion. You really can't even see the modification. It worked very well for me in MX boots. The first picture shows how it sits, the black mark on the side cover guard is the top of the stock shifter at the highest position it would go without hitting the sprocket cover.Second picture shows what I did to the cover to allow the shifter full motion. First picture shows that you can't really tell I modified anything.Hope this helps, if you just need the shifter to sit a little bit higher, this'll do the job
