Looking for a replacement for my old wired uni. I’ve had it for a long time. The main problem with the old one, the outdoor reading is not very accurate because of the placement of the probe. I didn’t like the displays on a lot of the new ones that I ran across. But this one looked like it would fit the bill and it sure does. As you can see a picture of the old next to the new, a pleasant difference between the display size and style . And the new one is fairly accurate as far as I can tell . I’ve done external tests with My laser probes It seems to be about a half degree within each other . The display is much nicer in my opinion on the new on. you can see the outdoor unit as it will be tucked away, so the sun doesn’t hit it in affect the measurements. I am very very happy with this. We’ll see how it holds up long-term . Another small piece of information is the outer unit uses the larger AA batteries, which will have the most current draw as far as the temperature swings and stuff , whereas the inner unit uses the AAA batteries. Overall, it’s easy to set up to mount and easy to use. I’m very happy with it.

This uses 2 AAA batteries in the indoor unit and 2 AA batteries in the outdoor transmitter, not included. All other hardware is included for hanging. I especially like that this has a built in stand for the unit that is meant for indoors. The digital read out is clear and there is also a light that illuminates when a button is pushed.It took me a few minutes to sync the two devices, be sure to read the directions for a more timely syncing process.

This item is very useful. I use it in my 5th wheel travel trailer to track the temp/humidity outside. One thing not quite accurate in description is the battery requirements. It says 2 AA batteries required, but you will also need 2 AAA batteries as well. The only way to mount the outside sensor is with the screw hole, however, I just place it on the king pin mount on my trailer when I set up camp. Just don't forget to grab it before you hook up and leave.

Easy to set up. Requires a pair of AA batteries and a pair of AAA batteries (not included). Battery covers are easy to open and close while still being secure. Instructions aren't the best translation to English but they are understandable. Upon initial setup, it took about 20 minutes for the temperature and humidity to display accurately, but they did eventually match other units in and around my house.Display is easy to read. Backlight is activated for about 5 seconds by lightly touching top of unit, but is needed only in dark environments.Wall hanger screws are included for both the indoor unit and outdoor sensor. The indoor unit also has a pop-out built-in angle stand for use on a desk, if desired.The outdoor sensor must be placed in an area that is protected from rain and direct sunlight. I put it in a short section of 4" diameter PVC pipe that is capped at both ends with removable caps. The cap at the bottom has a hole drilled in it for drainage of condensation and for air circulation.

Even though Alexa know the temperature outside, I always like to know what it is at home. Got to unit to be able to measure my exact location and not the temperature 20 miles away because there is a difference. Got the unit and set it up very quickly and got the two units in sync in no time. Place the unit outside and my display inside and in a few minutes I was seeing that it was colder then Alexa said. Just to be sure of the reading I took out an old thermometer that I had and it was correct. Easy to read the display and the light is perfect. Its small size is perfect to keep in the dinning room without taking up a lot of space. And I love the humidity reading as I was sure the house was too dry after this long winter and the heat on all the time. Great unit and at a good price too.

This item did not match my expectations. It seems like it would be easy to use, but it is not as simple as it looks. I would seek a different option if available.
