Time and money saver! Great product to test my water to determine when to change my water filters. I find the test strip easy to match to the color chart. I’ve had similar readings when I periodically send my water to a lab.

Color code on strip after test really didn’t match any of the choices

Sending off water samples was becoming rather costly, so I started conducting home tests. These strips are perfect and very affordable. The color indicator is easy to read.

Like the top reviewer, I have a place in West Virginia. The well is heavy with iron which is filtered by a whole house filter. Since we just bought the house, I bought a well water test kit which showed manganese. The filter is supposed to remove manganese. I bought these thinking the other test kit could have been old. Same results.A quick call to the company (and they were very helpful) confirmed that my results are likely a false positive and if I really want to know, I need to send off my water sample to a lab someplace. So not useful/useable, if you are on well water in a high iron system.

I tested my water exactly as the instructions state. The blank one is before the water dip. #1 is dipped in water before the whole house filter. #2 is dipped in the filtered water. I have well water and manganese deposits on my toilet tank. These strips showed zero difference in anything.

Manganese testing usually has interference from other +2 valence ions, such as iron, which we do have some of in our water. I specifically bought this test kit because the product description, as then written, claimed:"The new and improved sensafe manganese eliminates interferences from several ions like copper, iron, cobalt, lead, nickel, etc."Well, when we actually used the test strips and made the resulting color comparisons, what did we discover on the package in very tiny print above the test color reference dots:"Interference: Similar color development may occur elevated levels for some +2 valence metals, such as aluminum, copper, iron, lead, magnesium or zinc."This outright misrepresentation has led to my disappointed rating.

This is a time saving product. I typically had to bring sample to water company for free testing. Now i can do it at home. I used this product and gave sample to water company. Results were same. IT WORKS
