Bottle Lubricant 0.5 Liter.

It is time to change the oil in my Ingersoll Rand air compressor (Model P1.5IU-A9, aka "Garage Mate"). This 0.5 liter bottle of Ingersoll Rand All Seasons Select compressor lubricant (oil) will do one oil change on my compressor (other compressors may take more or less oil). NOTE: It is NOT tool oil for air tools. I buy this Ingersoll Rand brand compressor lubricant for these reasons:* Recommended by Ingersoll Rand, the manufacturer. (Honestly, I do not care. I am not generally "brand loyal.")* If something breaks, Ingersoll Rand cannot blame me for using the "wrong" oil. Yup - This is the real reason I pay the high cost for Ingersoll Rand brand lubricant. The user manual for my compressor also discusses the difference between "synthetic lubricant" like this oil, and "petroleum lubricant". According to the user manual, my Ingersoll Rand compressor can withstand a 100% duty cycle, but only if I use a synthetic lubricant such as this one. The manual also states that if you use petroleum lubricant, you can only run a 60% duty cycle (36 minutes per hour). To me, that says that this oil will run cooler and do a better job of protecting my compressor than petroleum lubricants.Furthermore, if you switch back from petroleum to synthetic lubricant, "the compressor valves must be thoroughly decarbonized and the crankcase must be flushed before conversion." I don't want to deal with that, and I don't want to accidentally run petroleum lubricant in my compressor if I buy a different brand or type of oil.The easiest choice for my needs is to buy the manufacturer's brand oil, this Ingersoll Rand All Seasons Select compressor lubricant. If you do not own an Ingersoll Rand brand compressor, then why are you spending so much money? If it were me and I did not own an Ingersoll Rand compressor, then I would probably look for less expensive, high quality, synthetic compressor oil. I doubt that Ingersoll Rand makes their own oil, and I doubt that their synthetic compressor oil is unique and special. If you really think that this compressor oil is vastly superior to other compressor oils, then you can probably find the exact same oil from the company that actually makes the stuff for less money. The hard part is figuring out where Ingersoll Rand gets its compressor oil.

Beware, it's only 16oz. Thought I was getting 32oz. Looks just like a quart. Ripoff! Lousy photo too in this technology age. I see why.

Seems to work, but I think WAY over priced.

This is a must in order to keep the factory warranty. When the temps drop below freezing we will see how well the compressor runs!
