Injen Technology’s patented MR Technology does exactly this. Through a series of engineered and tested air- restricted sections, the pressurized mass air is controlled to a calculated aggression, allowing for a proper air/fuel calibration. The end results allows for more reliable and consistent horsepower/torque gains. This technology is availed to the sports compact market exclusively through Injen Technology’s SP line of intake systems.

Looks great and fits perfectly. Wasy install and gained a good amount of torque from this modification.

Just got this cold air intake installed about a week ago, fits great and had no problem installing. Performance wise, when you get up above around 3500 rpm, you can feel an increase in the car's pull for sure. If you're trying to install this thing in the same car that I have, just know that when you pull the original air filter box out, it's also connected to I guess what you would call an air resonator that's attached to the scoop intake opening that you'll see is mounted right into the grill of the car. I tried to separately remove both components but in the end found it easier to just rip the whole assembly out in one piece. I tossed the stock intake anyway so I really didn't care. Also make sure the line on top of the original intake doesn't get trapped underneath the new one, you want that sitting on top, and do it before you tighten anything down in the event you need to get to it for some reason. It runs parallel to the intake and I almost made the mistake myself (I moved the line out of the way for the After photo but you can clearly see it in the Before photo)Anyways, good product, easy install, will buy Injen again. 🤘

Install was really easy. As long as you follow the directions and have the correct tools it should only take you 30 minutes or so, even without a surplus of mechanical knowledge. The only problem so far is that the vacuum hose which connects opposite the end of the filter sometimes pulled itself loose. I solved this by doing two things; the first was ensure that the intake was properly secured to the anti- vibration bushing and finished it off by using a small hose clamp to keep the hose secured. Installed in a 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT 3.0 V6. Overall really happy with the performance so far. P.S, you only notice a real difference in performance/noise at higher rpms 3,000+. Speaking of added noise, your engine does sound deeper and more powerful if you push those rpm's high. It's up to you how to treat your car, but opening it up every now and then won't hurt it. Just be responsible and good luck with your purchase and install!

Awesome results. Went on easily. It took a total of 30 minutes. My only problem was the bolt placement for the brace. It showed the location for the v6 engine but not the 2.4l so I had to drill into a plastic housing where the bolt was supposed to go..

I wouldve given it 5 stars but had a bit of trouble with the holes of the maf sensor attachment , they werent made correctly had to force them in with the provided bolts. Other than that pretty good and easy installation.

The product was well finished and works. Not enough miles to quantify a performance improvement. Despite the Amazon part finder saying that it would fit my 2003 2.4 liter Eclipse, it took some extra work and a trip to the hardware store. The mounting tang is set up to attach to a vertical bolt with the rubber-dampened bolt. There are no vertical bolts on the engine in this location. I attached an angle bracket and then adjusted (bent) it to the right angle. There was a flange that was to bolt to the air sensor despite the directions telling me to use the 6 mm "nuts." The threaded flange holes were not drilled at 90 degrees- they splayed outward a few degrees. The sleeved holes in the air sensor were 90 degrees. I could not get the pieces bolted together. I bought new m6 bolts that were 30 mm long and threaded them backward, (from the threaded hole through the sleeved hole) and put a nut over each end to connect the pieces. It doesn't seem like it was designed to go on the 2.4 liter RS.

Completed replacing my original air intake in a 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS 2.4L in light rain and it only took about 20 minutes. Never having put a new air intake in a vehicle I feel this was super easy and the end result is better than I expected. Packaging was right and delivered on Saturday even though I ordered it on Thursday. Paid extra for saturday delivery and it worked.
