The product itself is good I’ve been running it for a month or two and my engine isn’t hydrolocked yet. The issue is that at first they sent me the wrong sleeve and it was way too short *different part number* and all the labor I put in went straight to waste.

I now have these on 3 different cars/sizes.Some CAI’s can get incredibly sketchy running so close to the ground. The last thing you want is to be left stranded because of hydrolock. No, you can’t drive through a massive puddle with this, but it does what it is supposed to do when roads are wet. Never run a filter without one of these.

Great product overall, just be careful when installing these as they're pretty thin but functions like its suppose to. Remember these are water resistance, NOT waterproof! These help keep water from being absorb into your intake filters but also helps keep them clean longer.

Bought this because I cut a hole in my hood and poped the air intake through it. I also live in the Pacific northwest where it rains a LOT. So naturally I needed something for the rain. Bought this on a whim, and was pleased with it. Holds it own against the elements, rain just beads off.I store my car outside as well and remember I put my intake on my hood so. Overnight when it rains it does slightly bead through onto the metallic parts on my intake. I just put a plastic bag on it overnight. I've never had an issue to where it truly affects my performance.Overall? Worth it.ONE YEAR REVIEWLately I've been doing a lot of driving and camping. The sleeve has a lot of wear and tear but still on the filter and keeping it clean mostly. I will be purchasing this sleeve again in the future.

Does what you need it to do, I have a 06 ion redline with a zzp cold air intake and this fits perfectly over the air filter however after 3 1/2 months it seems like I will have to be replacing this item

As the title states. I have an older universal K&N RP-something universal air filter that I hooked up to my cold air intake in my 2002 Honda Accord V6. The filter sits right in front of my driver side wheel well fender lining and right above the under tray. There's cutouts everywhere in the under tray of course, and rain where I live can get nasty every few years, so this was my best bet for now because it's nearly spring. I still have to avoid/dodge big water puddles like people with lowered cars have to dodge speed bumps! Testing my luck at the moment. I was planning to find hydrophobic spray to spray onto the filter, but I was concerned that it might clog up the pores in the filter for proper ventilation, so I didn't follow through with doing that...

Went on very easy with the elastic on the top to hold it in place and now I do not have to worry about water getting in my intake.

Bought this for X-1018-BR 4.5" Injen Air Filter to put on a 1996 Eagle Talon TSi AWD. Great fit, looks amazing, and works phenomenally. Already drove through rain and when I popped the hood in the garage, this shield had stopped some mud and particles from getting into my filter. Just takes 2 minutes to take it off and rinse, then pat dry with a towel and reinstall.Highly recommend getting one for any performance vehicle or for a great tuneup!

Very fast shipping. Not sure if t will work or not in keeping out water. Ends are held onto filter by elastic. Not sure if it will hold up to multiple years of hot and cold temperature.

I got this for my AEM V2 Cold Air Intake for my 99 Eclipse. (Get the X-1034 size). So far it works well...as in, I'ven't hydrolocked yet :P I surely doesn't hurt, and doesn't seem to impede airflow. And for a great price on Amazon! Unless you find it for cheap on ebay, don't bother looking anywhere else: Amazon has the best price on it and with free shipping! Great buy!
