This is the set up that the Traxxas TRX-4MT should have right out of the box. Stock, the truck doesn't have enough power, it gets stuck very easily, this engine and transmission solves that problem. It's a tad slower than stock now but the power it has now greatly overshadows the loss in speed. The torque practically lays the truck over! Too cool! Engine doesn't get hot and the stock receiver/esc doesn't get hot either, so win/win!Dont hesitate to get this, it works nicely and it's not expensive, so just buy it already and go have some fun!

Dropped right into my trx4m high trail ford without a single issue. Definitely open it up and check for proper lubrication because mine looked like it almost got skipped by the grease person on the assembly line. Runs incredibly smooth and not too much loss in top speed. I bought mine for crawling so I don’t need it to drive at a jogging pace. It is a little bit louder than stock gearing with plastics but it’s a good strong sound. Not a cheap gritty sounding transmission. Definitely buy some steel diff gears for the rear at least because mine started slipping teeth as soon as I sucked my kids stuffed animal into the wheel wells. Massive amounts of torque now and crawling control is now exactly what I was looking for! Awesome product, now to see if it lasts!

This kept me from throwing my TRX4m Defender in the trash. The motor is strong with a good slow controllable speed. With the crawler gears in the transmission, this is now won me over... that and I have replaced everything but the Axle housings and the ESC/Receiver. Everything else has been swapped out and upgraded all because now it will actually perform because of the this motor and trans combo.

I replaced the stock motor due to the transmission gears being stripped out.. This motor and transmission combo seems better in every way. More power, and just feels overall better made.. installation was even easy..

Great upgrade for trx4m defender. Especially if you have mb100 esc v2 and 7kg servo combos. Great for rock crawling. Satisfied with this products.Update: I bought another one for my other trx4m with jeep body. I paired it with 11kg servo.

Funciona perfecto, ahora tiene mucho más control en bajos, la instalación es muy fácil, solo quitar y poner, lo recomiendo.
