Your cart is empty.This American-made Inkin Bell is a beautiful piece. The spun brass bell and the black walnut handle and striker combine in Shaker simplicity. The striker fits elegantly into the handle when the bell is at rest. Also included is a burlap resting pad for the bell. The 2.7” bell has a clear, lasting tone. Each inkin is individually hand crafted and feels great in the hand. Made by our Virginia craftsman. An inkin bell is traditionally used to begin and end meditation sittings. Thank you for the beautiful inkin bell! It has a lovely sound and can be loud without being shrill or piercing. The wooden handle with the striker inserted is perfect. As a Zen priest, I am now conducting services over Zoom and this inkin by far surpasses my improvised small bell. However, I confess that my large steel mixing bowl will continue to replace the large bell.

Reviews can't overstate how nice this sounds. Long lingering resonance from simple elegance. I prefer to run the striker around the rim like you would a singing bowl, it's gets surprisingly loud with long directional resonance. As soon as I find a rustic piece of wood worthy of this bell I will make a simple stand with the bell upward to set it in and play.

Nice quality bell with quality sound for it's size. I use it before meditation. The stick to strike the bell is stored in the handle and makes it very convenient.
