I've used them all. Mostly resorted to straps because they 'just work'. However with my kids it seems to take a lot longer to load my boards. I've also got a basket on half of my roof rack making straps a pain. Decided to give this a try as it had good reviews. I am using it on a yakima aero bar.First, it does take up 9" of you roof rack - thats how big the unit itself is. So make sure you have 9" + how big your board is.Ease of set up - Took probably 15 minutes after reading the directions. Pretty easy and not much to it.Ease of use - Literally takes seconds to have my board on the roof and strapped in. So easy. You can do it all from just one side of your car, so no need to walk around.Security - So far so good. I have only used locally and no issues whatsoever. On a long trip, I might double down with a strap just in case but I am the paranoid person that straps my roof cargo carrier and has straps for my straps haha. I do think its solid. Also comes with locks so your boards are not going anywhere without a wire cutter. How many boards does it fit? I've fit a long and shortboard so far and could easily fit a 3rd.Would I recommend? I literally sent the link to a few of my surfing buddies and told them to buy it.Value: Its pricey I admit. Especially vs $5 straps I was using. But its a nice quality of life improvement over the straps. Probably saves me 10 mins total each time I surf and has added security of a lock system.

First impressions: A solid rack system with above average build quality. Fits my 2018 Subaru Impreza factory crossbars.Pros: Loading/unloading boards takes seconds. The locking mechanism adds a layer of security and convenience, especially when you're traveling. Though I won't be leaving boards on the car unattended for too long.Cons: Not enough rubber liners were included in the packaging. The crane system is a bit awkward and unnecessary in my opinion. There's a substantial amount of vibration at speeds over 65mph, especially with no board loaded. This might be mitigated with a few zip ties. These racks are not foolproof, they are a deterrent. A ne'er-do-well with wire cutters would only need seconds to ruin your day.Overall, this is a good solution if you're tired of messing around with soft racks or DIY rigging. I would have awarded five stars if all parts were included and or thicker tension cables were used.

This rack is AWESOME. Easy to install, easy to use and high quality material. I've had 4 surf racks in my lifetime and this one trumps them all.On my old Mazda I had a Yakima surf rack with rubber straps that I always left on the top. These were pretty decent but the problem was the tension was extremely tight (not a bad thing on the highway) so if you put a single board on the rack it was a different tension setting than two or three boards. Changing the tension was a bit of a pain but still better than using manual straps. On my old GTI I had a Thule surf system (the dealership provided rack) where you put your boards on the pad, dug in the back of your car to find the long straps and had to walk back and fourth throwing a strap around the boards. This was absurdly annoying and even though the straps were fairly long, they would not fit around 3 long boards or two paddle boards. That required me to go in the garage and get longer giant ratchet straps. On my jeep I have the Thule tailgate pad which is awesome, no complaints there but also not comparable. Highly recommended for a truck though! On our Outback we added this Inno system. I had never heard of Inno so I was a bit skeptical at first. That ended as soon as I opened the package. The parts were VERY high quality and the system went on in about 10 minutes. The straps pull out far enough to latch down 4 long boards or 2-3 paddle boards (depending on the size). 3 paddle boards looks ridiculous on the roof but they held no problem cruising about 50mph down the 101. The ratchet system is genius and the tension arm that holds the other half in the air is fantastic (this allows you to stay on one side of the car and get everything loaded and strapped down. Best of all, it locks! Now I can take a long and short board down and decide which to take out without worrying that somebody will walk off with the other.Nice job Inno, you have a fan now.

I love this system. It is the second I have bought, the first one its attached to my old rusty minivan which I sold to my gardener. Now I surf at least 3 times a week in Isabela Puerto Rico and carry two or three longboards in my "new" ride a Toyota Sequoia. Installation was easy to the existing roof rack. I travel to different surf spots, the farthest Rincón, which is a 45 min drive, and never in 6 years I had a problem with the performance of the Inno system. I have carried 3 longboards in board bags (which is not recommended by the manufacturer) and a shortboard with no problem. I like the fact that I don't have to deal with straps, securing the boards to the rack is a breeze. Sometimes when we stop for breakfast I lock the boards with the key and I like that to. This reliable system is such a essential part of our surfing routine that we named the rubber straps, the front one is Casildo and the one in the back is Chalupa. The last time I saw the minivan it almost was disintegrated due to corrosion, but the rack is working fine, now holding down ladders ( which is also not recommended by the manufacturer). As I said, I love this system.
