So I see reviews saying that was not enough adhesive on throttle side and it came loose.Well mine did as well but as you know the left hand has to be glued. The fact the we now have to glue the throttle side is a plus. Now you adjust it to your comfort. If it was hard set that would have been aweful for me. I’m glad it was not hard glued now I have it where I want it.

I recently purchased these motorcycle handlebar grips, and they have been nothing short of a disaster. While they were easy to install, they lacked any method to properly secure them to the handlebars. The non-throttle side constantly slipped and moved out of place, requiring me to tap the end to reset it multiple times. This is a major safety issue. The throttle side started off fine on the first ride but quickly became a nightmare. After just one ride, the internal glue failed, causing the grip to rotate freely around the throttle. This made it nearly impossible to maintain a consistent speed, as the grip would just slide around. The included throttle assist was another problem—it interfered with my hand, forcing me to adjust the grip mid-ride, which is incredibly dangerous. These grips are complete trash, and I would not recommend them to anyone. After just three rides, I removed them out of fear for my safety. If you value your life and plan on doing any safe riding, invest in higher-quality grips. These are not worth the risk.

Grips were too long to start with; replacing 5in Harley Grips and these measure 5 3/4 and 6. They could worked so I slid them on. The diameter is slightly larger than 1in making it a little loose on the bar but I was going to make it work. Unfortunately the throttle side grip would not fit under the controls as the grip/throttle cable attachment was too large. Really tried to make it work because they feel good at a good price, but you get what you pay for in the end. Returning and will get Kuryakyn or Avon for double the price but less hassle knowing it fits correctly.

I had the same problems as everyone else. Within minutes the throttle grip separated from the sleeve. And I had to use electrical tape on the left handlebar to get the grip there tight enough to not just slide back off from gravity alone. I understand the size issue. Metric bikes are often 24mm not really 1", Harley bars are often almost 26mm (a full 1"). So these are designed to fit both, they just fit metric 24mm bars loosely. I don't fault them for that. But the glue on the throttle side is ridicules and needs fixed ASAP. Also one of the four end cap screws threads stripped with even light pressure. It could be a safety issue in heavy traffic on the freeway! But I still give it three stars. I really want to love these, but they need to address some quality issues. I had read the reviews and bought a bottle of Gorilla Glue the day I ordered them, planning to have to address the throttle and fitment issues. I also allowed for a day for the glue to dry. Do not expect to get these grips and be able to ride right after. Plan to be down 24 hours. If you take that all into account, and are super careful with the end cap screws, these are nice grips.

You will need to be mechanically inclined to install. I had to glue my throttle grip.

Does not fit well in 7/8 handlebars very mch on the loose side. The factory glue on tye throttle tube is junk, just pull the tube out, clean off residual glue and use gorilla glue. Same with the left side. Align them and mark where you want them, spray a mist of water in the grips and coat the handlebars with gorilla glue. Then slide the grips on and wait overnight. I have had them a month and they are working great and holding up just fine. It all starts with a good install

You can use the loose fit to your advantage. To get a good installation first pull the throttle grip off the plastic throttle insert. If the factory insert doesn`t work in your control housing you can use your exsisting insert. Clean off any old glue from whichever insert you use. Put the grip back on and mark a reference point on the control housing where you want it to stay. Pull the grip off again. Scuff sand the plastic insert with fine emory cloth or 220 grit sandpaper and wipe it clean. Apply a liberal amount of liquid Super Glue on the insert. Slide the grip on using one non-stop motion paying attention to the reference mark you made and the location of the throttle assist. If you stop moving before the grip is in place it will be stuck where you stopped. Use the same application for the left grip. Mark, sand, clean, glue and slide on. I gave the factory adhesion 5 stars because it gave me the opportunity to install the grips the way I wanted. Safe.
