Recently my old IP started wearing out from all of the abuse I put it through and it was time to replace it. I started my search but was not happy with some of the reviews of the new models that are out now. So i went back to this one.I mostly use my IP to make our dog food, soups, egg bites, and a large batch of sweet potatoes for the week. I love that I can go from pressure cooking the chicken, shred it and then make the soup in the slow cook mode.This one is fairly easy to clean, it is cumbersome to store it, but I make it work :)The browning lid is a nice feature to roast a chicken or beef.I hope they don't stop making this one.

I had a generic electric pressure cooker that I used two or more times a week for several years. It was recalled and I replaced it with an Instant Pot branded product. I also got the model with the Air Fryer lid and larger capacity (8qt instead of 6qt).Go with the larger if you are considering an Instant Pot. You may not always need that capacity but it is good to have. (For instance when cooking something like Corned Beef and adding potatoes.)The stainless steel liner of the Instant Pot is better than the non-stick pot of my previous pressure cooker. Only one time did I scorch anything with my previous pot. The one time I scorched something with the Instant Pot caused it to detect "burn" and shut off. Great added feature.

I love my instant pot with air fryer. I use it everyday. I like the convenience of it but do wish it came with an extra pot. Cooks even frozen food to perfection on the pressure cooker setting. If mine quit working today, I would order another immediately.

Had been toying with the idea of getting an Instant Pot and when a friend that cooks used hers for a dinner party I broke down and ordered one. Have not used it a lot, thus the four star vs. five star response. For what I have used it for to date I am glad that I got it. Looking for more soup and dinner recipes.
