The thermometer is super long. This is great so you don't have to take out the thermometer to read it. It reads accurately as well and the price is great!

good quality works good (so far). purchased for deep fryer, mostly, but it should work great for candy making, also. price was very good for the quality.

I like this because it is easy to read and my gas range is old. Just checking that the temp is right when I bake something. Need a new range, but this will do until that point. Will be easy to clean and fits well into a kitchen drawer until needed. Good buy.

I got this to use with my deep fryer to verify temps. I set the deepfryer for 375 degrees. When the green light came on indication it was up to set temp I tried this thermometer. Unfortunately, this thermometer would not read above 300 degrees. So I heated some water to boiling, that is an absolute temp, unless you are on a mountain. I used one of my shorter liquid thermometers that I use for when I froth milk for cappuccinos. I then put this thermometer next to it, they both showed the same temp. When I went back to the hot oil, same issue, it will not go above 300 degrees. So, it is useless for what I purchased it for. Unfortunately, it would cost me more in gas to drive to the USP store to return than I paid for it. So, it is trash now.

I deep fry a lot and my other gauge only went to 200 so I got this one since it goes to a higher temperature and it seems to work great. I’ve also used it to check meat temps and plan on using for candy making. I also like that it has a clip to keep it in place and the cover so I don’t stab my hand digging in the utensil drawer I keep it in.
