I messed up the last sensor because it was really hard to get off of the OEM intake. Thankfully, the new sensors were affordable and an easy swap. So far no issues.

I got a check engine light the other day. Scanned codes and they wouldn’t clear. I replaced this intake air temp and then was able to clear codes. Also had a code #2 misfire. It also cleared. This part seems to be good quality. Looked just like the original sensor. The Jeep has 86000 miles. And a K&N cold air intake that I put on when the Jeep was new.

The Sheisor intake sensor was a perfect fit for my Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. I was able to remove my old sensor and replace it with this new one. I only had about 60,000 miles on my Jeep, this new one should work just fine. I removed the negative battery terminal when I installed it, and this allowed the computer to reset the sensors. It started right up, and I didn’t notice any hesitation in the throttle response after replacing the old one. Only time will tell if this sensor lasts.

This sensor was an exact fit replacement for my original sensor. These sensors include a little plastic "tab" that you lift slightly so that you can twist the sensor out of its mounting location. The new sensor then just twists back in place and locks in due to that tab. These sensors are really just a thermistor that changes resistance when the intake air temperature changes.I've read that they can last anywhere from 5 years to the life of the vehicle.I had no issues but replaced mine when I hit the 100K mile mark at 10 years. The cost is reasonable/low so I opted to replace now when doing all the other 100K maintenance for peace of mind.
