Heavy-duty, lightweight INTERTOOL splitting maul HT08-0297. Carbon steel blade coated in non-stick Teflon for reduced friction and excellent rust and corrosion resistance. Precise 30-degree blade with widened wedge shaped head is optimized for 1-strike splitting power. Handle is hollow, reducing weight and vibration while maintaining strength and durability. Reinforced with strong, fracture- and bend-resistant polyamide for extra protection against breakage and bending. Grip-textured rubber coating ensures secure, non-slip grip, and ergonomic handle shape fits comfortably in hand. What I like about this Axe is the portability, size, weight, and in middle usage. Quality is good on the chopping end and handle has decent grip although wish it to be denser material. Axe cover works but a bit bulky. Good Value so far.

I like it a lot. I like the case to protect from injury. I like the weight of it and the handle. It can be used as a hatchet or axe. I have a hatchet and this one is heavier. It will be a great chopping and splitting axe and hatchet.

I just added this to my camping gear after using my neighbors a few weeks ago. Standard hatchets are 13"-15" and 1.5lbs, the extra weight and length gives this extra splitting power with less effort.

Sharp blade that cuts good. Just the right weight and the 28” handle length makes it a lot easier to control and make accurate swings. Construction seems sturdy enough to last a long time.
