The IPR Valve regulates the oil bypass circuit of the high pressure oil pump. It is an electromagnetic valve that opens and closes to allow high pressure oil into the injectors. This enables the PCM to control fuel delivery by increasing the speed in which the IPR valve operates thus, being a critical component in your vehicle system.

For ford. Buy motorcraft. Failed at startup. Only thing that was good was the pigtail. I was down another week until the right part came (motorcraft). Don’t be cheap!

These were purchased to resolve both hard start and stalling when hot. DTC indicated injection control pressure problems... What was found was a bad o-ring on the IPR and frayed IPR connector wires. Both IPR and ICP were replaced and the new IPR pigtail was installed. The E450 6.0l now works better than ever. BUT that was then, now the IPR has failed again.

Good quality kit, make sure you have or get a socket for the ipr valve. Old 6l powerstroke quit while idling, had been hard to start for some time. This new one did the job! Started right up. Good quality and was a bonus it came with new electrical connector. (Old one had no metal clip left due to rust)If you have a powerstroke engine, keep one of these on hand, you never know when you will need it, but you will need it !
