Excellent quality. I used it to clean the head bolt holes on an old Mercedes (iron block). It started very easily, went in without jamming (the last tap I tried jammed and broke!) and came out smoother than silk. And I saw nothing in the flutes but oily rust - no metal chips, so I know this tap's dimensions are right on (or at least it matches the taps they used in the Mercedes factory).

Good tap as I have had good luck with Irwin/Hanson taps for 40 years.
