Purchased this item not thinking of the tap mounting. Luckily we have a 4 jaw lathe to clamp in the tap and rig up a magnetic clamp on the bed. Cut great and stayed sharp!

I bought this tap to clean out the grooves on a 60 year of cast iron drain pipe. It worked great and I have since used it again for a similar purpose. I have been entirely satisfied with this product and can recommend it without hesitation.

The deck fill on my boat got cross threaded. I was going to have to cut a hole in the cabin to reach this fitting but was able to cut new threads and save the day. Quality product.

I needed to clean pipe threads in cast iron sewer stack where galvanized nipples entered but were rusted out. After cleaning most of the old nipple out, and exposing a few outer threads, and I retapped the thread easily. Good quality tap, I used a big crescent wrench. Installed new Plastic fittings into the stack and avoided fernco rubber fixes that seemed weak. This tap saved my stack and my ....

Laundry drain line rusted out between garage wall to under the house, connectedto cast iron wye and both ends needed to be cleaned out with a large pipe tap tosalvage the cast iron wye. The 1 1/2'' pipe tap is a must tool to have, providing youare doing the work yourself. Didn't know had pipe taps that large and made in USA.
