What's included
  • Aware is a level-dependent technology that uses omni-directional microphones to allow safe sounds to actively pass through the product while blocking harmful noise. Aware volume can be turned up, down, or off from the right earcup.

  • You can use both Bluetooth and Aware at the same time. Foam ear cushions block 25 dB of noise so your hearing is always protected, even if you are not connected to Bluetooth.

  • LINK Aware earmuffs have an adjustable headband and are designed to fit most (S-L).

  • LINK Aware is a noise-isolating ear protector, so it blocks noise with a physical barrier (earmuff) while wearing the product. Alternatively, noise-cancelling products produce an inverse sound wave to reduce noise while the product is turned on.

  • LINK Aware is an OSHA compliant hearing protector with an ANSI-Certified NRR of 25 dB and they are Bluetooth enabled for phone calls and radio communication. Please abide by the rules established by your place of employment.

Great headphones

After one week in a CNC machine shop, I must say that I love these headphones. Our loudest time of the day in the shop can reach around 105-110 decibels. It blocks out compressed air noise whether you're blowing into a blind hole or out in the open.Co-workers used to have to say my name a few times to get my attention because I was competing withthe noise in the shop in my headphones, now I'm not competing with the outside noise whichin the end, saves hearing.( -1 STAR ) If I were to make a suggestion for new users, use the box it came in to 'break-in' the unit as it will feel like a C-clamp on your head at first; but don't worry, they do get significantly more comfy with age. Manufacturer could make a more comfortable ear cushion to combat this.If I were to divide the price I paid for the headphones by the hours I've used them, it has costme $3.75/hr so far and I am extremely satisfied with that considering they'll probably last another thousand hours yet.

I love these muffs. I can play my Tenor Sax all day, chat with others, and answer phones without taking them off. I love them.

The muffs were very well designed and provided great hearing protection while firing on the inside range. They were comfortable wearing and the design was great

Background is I’m a firefighter 48/48, also on a airfield at times. I bought these as a test run to see if they worked well enough and see if my FD would buy them. They work well enough to keep the outside sound down while checking out trucks, hearing a pod cast (shout out to TimCast IRL), and talking to the crew at the same time in the morning. They also keep smaller prop aircraft sound down well enough when the volume is turned down while still listening to music. Large props and jets I have to double ear pro anyways so this doesn’t apply. The battery is terrible. Once my 48 is over I have to leaving the set on the charger, pull the battery or the battery will die off over the two days I’m gone. I’m not recommending these to my department due to the battery. They work as advertised but the system eats the battery when it’s turned off.Kind of wish there was a hook on the set so I could hook them to my gear while on duty.

I wear ear muff for most of the day when I'm at work, these are a game changer I don't have to keep taking them off to have a conversation, phone calls, listen to my audio books or radio. They are relatively comfortable, I made a alteration to them by purchasing some gell ear pad replacements shame they dont offer these as a standard replacement item much more comfortable.

Works great. It adjusts to sound around you. You can hear someone talking while blocking harmful sounds.

I have been looking for something like these for work. The ear cups aren't the most comfortable but I guess that's because they are dense foam to block noise. If I had to buy another pair I wouldn't get the Aware version. It's a good idea but I have never had a use for it. Luckily, the outside sound and Bluetooth sound have separate volume controls so it's not a problem.

Not easy to have a conversation it blocks out my voice and let’s some voices in I got to take them off head every time someone talks to me still decent as people can get my attention a little easier music all way blocks most but not all awareness

I really should have believed the other reviewer who said these don't work in wood shops. If anything, his 1-star review was waaaaaaay too generous. Because these muffs are the absolute worst nightmare in my shop. And I reeeeally wanted to love these things. Sigh.First off, my dust collection system won't trigger the noise suppression, so that wonderfully loud blower sound is literally right in my ears because the AWARE tech won't suppress it. I also have a SawStop, which AWARE does try to block, but unfortunately the dust collection is on at the same time and get this HORRENDOUS popping sound in my ears. These are unusable. Sure, I could turn off the AWARE technology and they work fine, but then I've essentially just paid $140 for a set of $40 PROHEAR muffs. All in all, it feel like ISOtunes sold me a product that should still be in development. This is my second time purchasing one of their products, but after my ISOtunes pro died after 6 months I just don't trust this company to provide a valuable product that meets my needs.

I bought LinkAware on the recommendations of a couple of my favorite YouTubers only to be disappointed with the performance of the voice/noise activation feature. The noise-canceling threshold is around 85 db. Unfortunately, equipment such as shop vac's comes in around 79 db (at least the two I have), so it's like you don't have the headphones on. You can turn down the Aware voulme trigger but then that defeats the purpose of the Aware feature. Also when entering noise-canceling mode there's a significant pop. Pretty much anything can cause the popping sound, very annoying. I've basically turned off the active mode and just utlize the bluetooth feature to listen to music and incoming ph calls.

I dont know of any other water resistant option that sounds great (and Im fussy) and allows you to dial in outside sounds for safety/awareness and when you need to hear what a machine is doing but remain protected. Never miss a call or message. And the order process was efficient and completely painless - just like it should be.
