This IVY Classic Lock Installation Kits include an adjustable guide template for easy and exact drilling with snap-lock arms for selecting door width and backset as well as two hole saws and an arbor with a pilot drill. The guide template fits 1-3/8-inch and 1-3/4-inch thick doors and 2-3/8-inch and 2-3/4-inch backsets. This kit is designed for use on steel and wood doors and is constructed out of bi-metal with an M-3 cutting edge.

I am disappointed with this purchase and I am sending it back for a refund. No matter how careful you are, the hole saw will chew up the plastic, making this good for maybe one or two uses. I probably could have lived with that, but what really irritated me was that this item will not get the job done on it's own. The reason I say this is because the auger included in the kit does not fit the 1" hole saw! You will need to use another auger. Fortunately I had one that fit, or I would have had to buy one. To me this was unacceptable since this item was around $27 with tax. It is very overpriced for what you get and it's basically a use once or twice and throw away. It does an acceptable but not perfect job of helping line up the holes accurately. You get what you pay for, but this was more expensive then the cheaper ones, and I doubt it is any better.

The 1in hole saw does not fit the included arbor bit which defeats the purpose of calling it a "kit". The other reviews that state this same issue are a couple years old so a little surprised it hasn't been fixed yet.

Handy, but Guide Template continually slipped from it's locked position, damaging doors. Easy to use - would recommend, despite the issues with the template.

Steel sheathed door. It worked perfectly, but the arbor did not fit the smaller hole drill... Fortunately, I have a big tool chest.
