Ivy Classic ribbed insert and power bits are designed to withstand the high torque (rotational force) of impact drivers. High-grade S-2 tool steel is used for extra strength and durability. These ribbed bits feature forged ribs that grip the screw and reduce cam-out stripping of screws and bits. The bits are heat treated and tempered to Rockwell hardness 60-62 and the sandblasted finish prevents rust. Ivy Classic Industries manufactures an extensive line of ribbed insert and power bits.

I'm an aircraft mechanic so I take out a lot of screw and break a lot of bits, these bits are tougher than most I have used and have good grip. they are a little expensive but well worth it.

I use the bits to screw plywood backer/backing throug steel stud in high rise building. I go through one bit per 1000 screws. It deforms and even strong magnetic extension cant hold the screws on the bit. Pretty disappointed in it. If you google search for best phillips bits and recomendations for these come up, dont buy. You are better of with just any tipe of cheep bit.

they are actually serrated, but the serration is not very deep and barely visible.
