We used Jack's Magic to treat the brown stains in our pool and boy do we regret it. For context, we have a 24,000 gallon, salt water, plaster pool that is in full sun all day. We did the stain ID test, which recommended the #2 solution + Purple stuff. Does it remove the brown stains? Yes it does. However, it introduces so much other stuff (?nitrogen) into your pool that it binds up all your chlorine causing algae growth and Combined chlorine levels over 13! So, after spending $300+ on Jacks chemicals, we SLAM'd the pool with bleach to try to unbind it. Only to then find out that there really is no way to get rid of the nitrogen apart from draining the pool. So - in summary, if the stains are driving you crazy and you must get rid of them - use Jacks. But be prepared to then drain 1/2 your pool TWICE and refill TWICE in order to avoid algae growth and cloudy water afterward. $300 of Jacks + $1000 in water and chemicals to rebalance the pool. We won't be using again.

Thank goodness for your product! I could not get the staining out of my pool until I used your product. This is not the first time I used your product, but I have never written a review about it. Last year we started to have staining, we tested it and tried your product. It worked like magic! I decided to get more to keep on hand. Thank you again.

Will not go into the involved story of how we got the purple pool but.... follow the directions to a T and this product works. Took awhile to get my levels ready but would purchase again. I never had this issue in 25 yrs so hopefully never again.

This product works. You’ll need to brush the pool on a daily basis for few minutes for to really do good job in removing the copper stains. I would recommend that you isolate your spa heater if you have one by closing the valve for a week or so since your pool will be very acidic. Overall, great product and works well.

The pool had several years of heavy iron scale. Another popular product was used but could only keep the scale at bay - no increase but no great lasting reduction. Jack's is expensive compared to the other product. The other was also very dependent on chlorine levels. So touchy, would have what noticeable scale that was removed back within two weeks or so if I kept a "normal" chlorine level after treatment. Didn't have to reduce the chlorine level for Jack's. Every bit of scale was gone within 24 hours. After a month it is still gone. I strictly followed followed Jack's Stain Removal Program, identified which products to use, and followed the use directions. The liner looks like new. This product really works!
