Zero stars if it was possible. The inner sleeve does NOT fit inside the outer housing for any reasonable length! If you have almost all cable and zero housing, this might work but if you have a normal bike, this will not work. Amazon sent me a second set and that one could not push in either.I used a little line, inserted the cable, attached string to other end of cable to help pull. All of that and nope! Does not slide insideHorrible miss by a regularly great company.

Hard to to post pics cuz the lines are hidden within the bike but great quality and very easy to twist and turns through the bars and frame. Amazing quality

The 5mm cable is solid with the inner sleeve and ferrule cable ends on an MTB but the cost is in the extras for road etc which come with it, this is the most expensive gear cable i have ever bought for my EMTB with internal routing.

The last piece of housing from the derailleur to the frame stop was 2 inches shorter than needed I like to go 1 in longer to soften the curve! Expensive cable not good !

Holy cow, the liner is really a pain to install. Cutting it to length and sliding the cable through without snagging (which will poke a hole and render it useless) are difficult. On the upside, once it's done, replacing inner cables is a cinch and they work very well.

This kit is exactly like the old skool Gore Ride On cables that are discontinued. Housing, Inner liner, cable and all sorts of goodies like a frame rub preventer, cable holds and cable adjuster.The sealed end cap is lubricated as well to reduce friction to a minimum. Perfect in any weather condition. Only Electronic groups can even close on reliability, and even then, you have to charge your batteries.Long live (sealed) cables.PS: If you have an internally routed frame, be aware that the housing is thicker than normal shift housing. So if it's already tight with non-sealed cables, you might not be able to route internally.

This housing is 5mm, when my old housing was 4mm. My frame takes a 4mm housing, so this did not fit my bike. Keep this in mind!

I was also concerned with compatibility after receiving the kit. However, after reading the installation instructions everything made sense. This will replace your 4mm housing in 99% of installations. (Also if it doesnt fit, that shouldnt be a reason for a poor review).The only case I can think of for this NOT working is if your shift housing runs completely through your frame and the frame openings/exits are smaller than 5mm.NOTE: The housing ferrules have thinner walls and are the same diameter as ferrules for 4mm housing.Jagwire coukd do a better job of explaining how this system works and how it IS compatible.Looking forward to riding in the dirt and mud and not gunking up my shift cable.
