New review: I’m very happy that the seller reached out and send me a new lamp even if it’s past my return window. I have the new one setup and working now. Very satisfied! Thank you again!Old review: Doesn’t work. The bulb is working when I tried it with my other lamp. Ordered this last December but due to busy work schedule I just assembled the lamp today. Sadly I don’t think I can return this. Very disappointed.

excellent dupe. great size. easy to put together. creates a beautiful warm glow of light and is super functional. i definitely recommend if you love the noguchi lamps but don’t want to splurge

Not bright enough to be the main light source in my office, but gives off a nice, warm light and looks cute on top of the bookcase! Was kind of a PITA to put together, not going to lie, but with a little finagling I managed. Happy with the purchase!

The lamp really looks very nice but putting it together wasn’t nice. The inside piece that gives it the shape is very bendy and mine ending up bending inside and the lamp is slighty lopsided. Not bad but it is. Also trying to hook the inside legs didn’t go smoothly and I ended up making a hole in the paper. I can hide it but there is a hole. I’m keeping it but wish the assembly was easier.

Although the photos show a delicate Japanese lamp, the structure is rather flimsy. The written instructions were inadequate. The QR code directing the user to a YouTube video resulted in a low-resolution video THAT WAS SPEEDED UP. No captions. There is no reason to have 3x speed on a how-to video. There were no closeups of the assembly parts. Be VERY cautious stretching out the fragile rice paper shade. There are multiple opportunities to tear it since it so tight. Once turned on, you are supposed to “pair” a remote control device with the LED bulb provided with the lamp. The default setting on the bulb is a glaring fluorescent bright light, not the soothing warm light depicted in the product photos. You are supposed to be able to change the warmth setting of the bulb, but even with new batteries it failed to pair. The remote was ON because the red light indicator worked. I finally replaced the glaring LED bulb with one of my own warmer 40W LED BULBS.

Found assembling lamp an absolute faff - the legs were really tinny - the nut and the screw were really fiddly as well - never really screwed in tight, and then you had to put the lamp frame on… well I never even got that far. Not great for the money.

This lamp is so unique and beautiful, but also incredibly delicate (like, you could easily and accidentally poke your fingers right through the paper of the lamp). You have to be very careful to not break that paper, especially when setting the paper shade onto the base. Speaking of setting it up, I found the instructions to be absolutely useless and very unhelpful -- that being said, it's not difficult to figure out how to set this thing up; you just have a look at all the bits for a minute and your brain will figure it out rather quick. Super easy setup, and miniature tools are provided in the box to assist in the setup process. The bulb that came with the lamp will cycle through three different colours each off/on you do with the switch, but the colours are varying shades of blue/white light--which I didn't like; it made things look too sterile and white (like a hospital, ick). So, I bought a 40watt e26 base vintage amber coloured led bulb to replace it ... and having a warm toned light bulb truly makes this lamp shine! It also brings a lot of warmth to the room, as well as life. It's also a very calming lamp to look at when you sit and stare off into oblivion after a long and defeating workday. Now, I do think it's rather expensive for what you get ... but ask me if I regret this purchase? Not at all. I am in love with this lamp. The lamp is a piece of art, and I hope it will last me for many years to come. Definitely recommend 🙂🤞
