At Jars, we make committed, sustainable choices every day. Our stoneware is composed of natural components and 100% homemade stoneware paste. All our products are lead and cadmium-free, ensuring they are safe for everyday use. We utilize a single-firing process, which significantly reduces energy consumption compared to the double-firing required for earthenware or porcelain. Jars is dedicated to creating beautiful, practical, and robust ceramic pieces with a perfect blend of technical precision and artistic sensitivity. Each item is designed for everyday use and is dishwasher and microwave safe. While we do not recommend using our products in the oven, some customers do so with care. To minimize risks, avoid sudden temperature changes of +/- 300°F in less than 10 seconds. For cleaning, the best method for removing ingrained stains is using baking soda.
