My wife has been a professional dog groomer for over 30 years. She says, "I have used many different brands over the years, most of them high end, and these are very comparable to many of them. They were sharp right out of the package and are lightweight and glide through several different types of coats effortlessly."

This is a great pair of scissors, we have an Australian shepherd and sometimes the back of his legs and back of his arms, his fur grows really long! i usually grab a regular pair of scissors and have to try and cut straight, it usually takes me 4 cuts to get all the way through one limb.with these grooming scissors it only takes one or two snips and i always now get a straight cut.

I have used these scissors on dog hair, Kt tape, cutting paper, obviously I'm not a professional dog groomer...They come package real well I wish that actual plastic sleeve that holds the clippers with sticker but I had a velvet bag that worked to store them. The only downside that I have with these is the fact that they don't have any plastic group and the finger holes seems small they get stuck on my fingers a little bit.

These are so wonderfully sharp! I've gotten a different pair from this brand and an inch from the tip was so dull that I can't use them until I sharpen them, but these are great. They're light without feeling cheap, and the color is nice. They did have some scrapes on the inside of the blades (as if they'd been opened and closed many times) the first time I opened them, but it could have been a quality control thing. I'm unsure what it is with this brand; my other pair lacked the oil I'm used to seeing on new shears, too. I double checked with my coworkers to be sure I wasn't crazy and they agreed that it's odd. It gives them a bit of resistance so they don't close as smoothly, but a tiny drop of clipper oil in the joint and they're nice and smooth.I feel as though I should make a disclaimer when I review shears, like: "do not use if you don't have experience using shears on a live animal. Do not use on cats (their skin is thin and runs like a nylon with even the smallest nick). Do not use to cut out mats, especially those that are close to the skin!!!! You can EASILY cut your pet if you do. Use only on clean hair, and never on a double-coated dog (husky, golden retriever, lab, newfoundland...)."Just...use caution, please.

Cutting a pet's hair, just like cutting a child's hair, can be a daunting and risky task in that neither pet nor child will hold completely still. These cutting shears are curved, so that when you grasp the hair to be cut and hold the shear with the outside of the curved edges are near you, you are less likely to poke or cut the pet, child, etc. I have a fine haired maltipoo dog whose hair escapes regular shears. However, these new shears are very sharp and feel nice in my hands. They have a purplish coating to them (I get for style) and come packed in a padded case with a polishing cloth. So far, they glide and cut through her hair and for that I appreciate the reduced stress of hair cutting. As for being "Professional", the only reason I think they get that moniker is that they are really sharp and stylish in color. I like them.

These are really pretty and functional. I have a goldendoodle and do the hair cutting at home so this is a must to work on the face alot easier to cut around the muzzle and eyes.

I'm a dog groomer and the purple finish is already wearing off after using only a handful of times. These don't cut well, even after adjusting the tension. They may just need sharpening but I already have well made curves that work great, just thought these might be fun.

these are very nice looking fancy dog shears. I cut my dogs hair and he hates it and I need it perfect with my ocd-ness, so I always need high quality tools to get the job done fast. they do that, very precise and sharp for my dogs thick fluffy hair. also they are beautiful like a dark pink and rainbow glow kind of color. highly recommend for professionals.
