Tried this J-B Weld Light-Activated Superglue for a few items around the house that I have been putting off to fix/glue back together. I always try to fix several things at the same time with super glue because no matter how tight I put the lid back on, it always seems to harden by the next time I need to use it. This was not the case with the light activated JB Weld. I followed the instructions for curing and everything stayed put like I wanted. Even a few days later, I was able to use the same bottle of JB Weld without issue. The cap/top actually came off without tearing up the bottle. For the functionality and great quality I would definitely recommend. Pro tip- after using JB Weld-hand tighten the cap, and store up right in the refrigerator. Sounds strange-but it works!

JB Weld is an excellent brand name, and make great adhesive. This superglue is great for small projects, though in terms of value you are paying a lot for a strong hold. This dries using an included UV light, although I am not sure if the tiny LED on the end of the stick is as effective as using a purpose-built UV light that might be brighter. Also, a lot of things that I need to glue are opaque and block light, meaning the UV won't cure what it doesnt hit, making this more effective for small things where a maximum amount of light can hit the drying glue. The UV light has a switch but only seems to work when I press directly on it... safety feature or broken switch? Not sure.

I use this on some 3d printed parts so i can get a firm attachment quickly. Very strong. Cures very fast, Love the pointed applicator for small spaces... However, You will stick your fingers together if you aren't careful, don't ask me how i know.

Used this on PLA as a test.10mm wide surface with slight texture.The initial bond with UV light used much longer than 5 seconds was not any more effective than a standard application.Test piece had one end with UV cure other end was not UV cured.After 24 hours bond was great on both samples.Push button on light was initially hard to operate.Did use the glue to bond light portion of applicator to the main body. Did not want to stay in place before gluing.One picture shows test piece lifting a gallon of water, little over 8 pounds. Clamping area was 10mm wide on each piece.

I was looking for a super glue to take care of a few projects I had piled up that had broken over time. I don't use super glue that often so needed to purchase something that was new and not dried up like what I had. I had never used super glue with the instant cure light activator so was a little curious about that. This super glue is pretty much like any other super glue I've used. It's easy to squeeze out, has a nice smaller applicator and the glue is thick and not runny. I've used it on plastic, glued a metal corner on a mirror, glued a small piece of brick that chipped off my fireplace and even tried it on the under side of a plate that my wife broke. It really worked great on everything. I did try the light activator and I'm not sure if it really made a difference or not since I really didn't know what would be different about it. I can say though that this was easy to use, dried fast, had a nice precision tip and was durable and everything has held together great. I was also very happy with the price for a 2 pack.
