I received the speakers the day after I ordered them ....I don't know how they did that!!! They sound great, installed them in a 44 year old Fender amp.

I replaced the speaker in a 1964 Fender Princeton amplifier. This speaker is an excellent replacement. Couldn't be more pleased.

I have a1963 Fender Deluxe amp. The original speaker was not working when I purchased it. So I installed an EV Force12 which was great for the last 30 years. Now that I am getting older, I needed to lighten up the amp so I purchased the Jensen. So now the amp is 8 lbs lighter and I didn't lose any tone at all. Great speaker!

I was blown away, performs above and beyond what I expected, even after watching YouTube Videos. I was unsure at first because the price is so affordable and my manual suggested I use a Celestion G12. But now I'm a total Jensen fan. It has a bright, aggressive, and yes vintage sound. The brightness really helps because I play an SG which can tend to have a darker sound, I know this is going to help it cut through the mix. Now it has more of that 60's chime that I've heard from SG's on Doors and Who records.

I picked up a Vintage 1968 Sears Silvertone solid state stereo console for cheap. The Oxford 12 inch guitar speakers and 3 inch speakers were shot. I spent a couple of weeks researching how I could upgrade the sound without replacing the amp and keeping it close to original. In the end I opted for this 12 inch guitar speaker, to keep it somewhat true to it's original setup. As these stereos originally came with guitar speakers and a modified guitar amp of the era. But I went with a modern 3 inch full range driver and 3.5 inch tweeter on a bass blocking crossover, Giving me an effective range of 70 to 21k hz. With lots of mid range character for instruments, tight bass, and some sparkle up high. Very happy with the setup, which is meant for evening listening for low volume jazz, roots, blues, and reggae music.

I got this speaker to replace the stock speaker in a Vox AC-10. It's hard to say for certain if it was the speaker or the new JJ tube set I installed at the same time, but now the highs seem a bit more controlled. I know it's a Vox, but to me, that "chime" felt a bit harsh. Now the sound seems rounder, warmer. In a side-by-side comparison with a Super Champ X2 with the same speaker, the Vox still sounds very very Voxy – lots of chime and presence, but with slightly better manners. In my experience, this speaker won't change the fundamental character of the amp you decide to put it in – it will just round things out, kind of like... salting a dish. My SCX2 is still sweet and dark-ish, and my AC-10 is still chimey and bright.

I'm old school. I grew up with vinyl LPs, 45s, 8-tracks and cassettes. There's a warmth those old recordings and mediums conveyed that is lacking in "CD quality" music. Likewise, guitar amps, particularly those of the "modeling" era, are after a more high-frequency sound wherein the midrange frequencies are "scooped".A certain music retailer was selling 10" solid-state electric guitar practice amps on the cheap and I bought one. The speaker it came with weighed just 1 lb 8 oz and was to my ears quite shrill. Not happy with the sound, I listened to a number of 10" replacement speakers and liked the warm midrange tones I heard from the Jensen C10Q and the price was right, so I swapped the stock speaker out for the Jensen. The Jensen by the way, came in at 3 lb 10 oz.I recorded some loops in my JamMan, played them through the amp and recorded them, with the original speaker and the Jensen. Then I loaded the recorded WAV files up in some sound analysis software and took note of the frequency spectrum - which confirmed what I was hearing. The stock speaker scooped the mids and hyped the higher frequencies - what listeners tend to call "presence boost". Sorry mang, this old hippie don't like that. Just give me that old fashioned rock-n-roll and a good warm sound any day.The amp by the way, was an Acoustic Amplification G20, through which I play an Epi LP Studio retrofitted with vintage wiring and a pair of alnico II chrome humbuckers. I didn't need an amp with FX with a bunch of pedals to give me FX. Just needed something small and light to pack round. I ain't about to pack a Marhsall stack or Twin around any more - not with this back and knees. L8r G8r!
