I bought this socket to remove 22mm lug nuts on vehicles. Most factory lug nuts consist of two pieces - a stainless steel cap pressed over a steel nut. Over time moisture gets between the cap and nut, swelling the cap so a standard impact socket will not fit over the lug nut.We have a 22.5mm socket but sometimes the lug nuts are too swollen even for that socket. I bought this socket for when that happens. I wanted a standard depth so that it is easier to hammer out the lug nut because the cap will deform when removing the lug nut leaving the lug nut stuck in the socket.

Use this and grind all around to make a mtb fork socket for fox suspension they are way much expensive like 40-50$ for a asocket so i buy this and modify it work perfectly and a beltsander . Nice snug fit.
