if you love to leave metal things shinning at all times then you need this machine. no more putting lame attachments on a drill and trying to work with all your hands tied up. i use this on jewelry and mainly my knife collection to keep my blades beaming bright. its a little tight with the hood but it does a very good job of keeping all the debris inside the machines area and not throwing around the room everywhere. seems to have more then enough power and everything just works as you would hope. no real complaints so far

This polishing machine works well. However it is a little louder than expected at high rpms. But I don't have another one to compare it to. This could be the usual noise level. Otherwise, this comes fully assembled. Although the light was out of the mount when I unboxed mine. It was easy to snap back into place though. Aside from that, I was able to fire it up right out of the box.

This may not be a commercial unit, but it certainly would be in your residential shop, or hobby room.Triple boxed! Well packed, and comes with everything you'll need to get started. Took just a minute or so to get up and running. I'm not a jeweler, but I did sell diamonds (direct importer) many years ago. Gone are the days of taking our rings into my local guy, asking him to throw it on his bench, (the polisher), to polish our gold rings, (wedding set, anniversary ring, wedding ring, and gents ring). Every 6 months!Those days are over, because this polishing wheel and machine is not only a keeper, but it has exceeded my expectations (for $229) on really close to a commercial unit! Has two switches. One controls the on/of for the polishing wheel/motor and the other switch controls the LED light.Top opens up to expose the LED work light, and dust filter. Polishing wheels work beautifully, and the motor is surprisingly quiet. It truly is amazing how quiet this is!Comes with two Jeweler's Rouge, and other needed accessories, like safety goggles, a screwdriver, a hex wrench and carbon brushes. I felt that the safety goggles and the screwdriver is over the top, but the Seller is all about a complete package, with exceptional quality, and prefers to over deliver!It appears that this will last for decades. Super excited to always wear our metal and shinny as new!Overall, exceptional build quality, superior performance, fantastic starter kit, which again, should last for years, wonderful rubber feet for an incredible foundation without bolting it to your bench, LED light a bonus, and priced right and reasonable.Truly a remarkable jewelry polishing machine! Love it!

I always wear a mask when I'm buffing. I will always wear a mask but this think gives me a lot of confidence that I could go without it. Powerful motor and allows me to control the speed to any range I need. So far I haven't been able to stall out the motor even with applying some decent force.An LED light built into the top helps to see whatever works you are working on. If you need access it at anytime simply open the top.The back also houses the filter so no more dust being thrown in your face. To me, it seems to do a very good job. I never noticed splatter on the safety glasses it came with.This is a fantastic machine. I would say you could even use this in a commercial shop. I love it. I think just about anyone that uses it to polish knives or jewelry will be happy.

I have a 350 Watt polisher, the form factor is the same as the rotating part of this tool. But the motor sound is different, and this 800 Watt unit is a bit louder, so I believe they have different motors, with this motor stronger.This unit has two power switches. One is for the rotating unit and the vacuum sucker, the other switch is for the light over the rotating unit. The large footprint and rubber pads mean this will sit securely on the bench, while the lower power units, without the large base containing the vacuum, must be clamped or screwed down.The instructions say you can put an adapter on the shaft(s) to convert from a polisher to a small grinder.The unit was extensively packed: triple boxed and custom molded foam within that. Even so there was a small ding in one corner of the sheet metal that I fixed easily with needle nose pliers to straighten it. The sheet metal is pretty thick.

My wife is a crafter and makes handmade silver jewelry. I've been looking for her a tabletop polisher/grinder for a little while now. When I saw this one, I ordered it immediately and I'm really glad I did. This is a heavyweight, well made tool that sits securely on her worktop. Surprisingly, the vibration is very little even when using at high speed and it's not nearly as noisy as I had anticipated it would be. The included dust collector is going to be one of her favorite features- she already is appreciating the limited dust to deal with or get into her projects. I might add that it is very versatile- she used it to polish some stones and also some acrylic pours and they look like they were professionally done.Great gift idea or addition to your personal tool collection- well worth the asking price.
