I have a farm and use these 2" hoses to run irrigation systems. I bought several of these hoses over a year ago and use them on a daily basis with about 50 lbs of pressure coming from the well. I liked them so well that I have purchased them again.Positives: Durability - They have lasted better than anything else I've purchased. They are made of a thicker, heavier material than the blue or gray hoses so they don't get holes. The blue hoses are especially bad for developing pin hole leaks that eventually become tears that render the hoses useless. But these red hoses stand up to daily wear.Negatives:1. Tiny leaks - They often have tiny leaks around the hose end couplings even when brand new, but that isn't enough to lower the water pressure. So it isn't a problem for me.2. Cost - these hoses are about 10% more expensive than the blue hoses but they last more than twice as long, so they save me money over the long run.

I am very disappointed with this product. I used them to supply water to a large sprinkler at 60 PSI, well below their rating of 150 PSI. All of the hoses that I uses leaked at the connection fitting. It acts like the bands were not tight enough to create a seal. One hose on the second use began leaking between the PVC and the liner. I really don’t want to return these but really have no choice. They are junk. The one good note the connectors did not leak and were easy to work.Update: one hour later I checked the two hoses and now both have leaks in the PVC coating. See photos....all three are going back.

A bit more money up front but a better quality than your average discharge hose.

This plastic hose was much more durable than a heavy canvas hose we had ordered It is also much lighter than the canvas fire hose

Hose material is very good quality, especially for the price - 5 stars. Crimped connectors are OK (but I prefer plastic barbed with hose clamps - lighter weight, less leakage). Probably should have given it 5 stars total since I knew what I was buying.

Update: I returned it as I could not put up with the leaking.I purchased this due to it higher rated PSI assuming it would be a stronger hose than the lower PSI rated models. The actual material does not appear to be any thicker than the 65 PSI outlet hose I have and may be a bit thinner. This JBG red hose does have ridges/filaments of some type of material running along its length which may make it stronger. However, I have small leaks at both hose ends, I assume due to the hose ridges stopping the clamps from from squeezing the hose material tight enough to make a 100% seal. The leaks are not under high pressure. I added two heavy duty zip ties at each end to no avail.I need to keep the hose for a project I am working and will put up with the leakage for now. My guess is if the existing crimp connectors were replaced with the screw/nut type of hose clamp, enough pressure could be exerted to stop the leaks. JGB Enterprises- Please take notice of this issue.
