My favorite pick of all-time. I play jazz fusion music and I love these picks. They have a bright and crisp attack. The delrin has an incredible tone and note clarity without being quite as bright as the ultex primetones. I’ve found they do wear out and get a bit duller after a couple months of playing but it’s not a huge difference. The only downside to these picks is the price. Other delrin picks don’t even come close to the sound quality and playability of these picks

I really like these picks and the sculpted edges keep the pick playing consistently as it wears down, which btw is pretty slow. As I go through them I'll probably lose these picks before I wear them out. They're a bit slippery for my taste but I have an easy hack for that. Given this small flaw versus the great tone I get, I'll take the latter over the former.

A friend turned me on to these years ago and I’ve never veered since. Durable and great tone.

I bought these and use them for electric guitar, but the .88s are better in my opinion for acoustic guitar. And the .88 in the grip version are great and easy to hold on to. I'm gonna buy some .73s with the grip next.

Personally I like this pick in the nubby version. If you prefer a smooth surface pick you should like this size 1.0 pick.

I purchased these after hearing about how similar they are to BlueChip but on a budget level, so I decided to try a 3 pack of the .96 for acoustic. I pulled one out and played for a few hours, nice feel and sound, not too harsh, not too dull, a pretty well balanced plectrum. After playing for a bit, I went to examine my bag of picks and realized they gave me 4 instead of 3, so that was a pleasant surprise. I can't speak for the long time durability of these picks, but so far I am really enjoying them and most likely will make these my main picks for the time being.

Until these I'd buy picks of all prices but would go back to BlueChip. There was always a little something extra that Blue Chip had over the others. Since I've used these, BC have stayed in the pick jar. To me Prime Tone make the guitar sound just as good and are a thicker than anything BC can make (I think they're 2mm maximum, mine are 1.6mm as 2mm pick is $70-80) which is what I now prefer. They grip really well when they're warmed up. I use side tips which are also beveled which is really nice that they took the extra step to bevel the pick all around.

Pick glides off the strings and lives up to the name primetone. These are now my staple for picks.

For decades I thought that picks, like strings, were necessary evils and that the "ultimate" plectrum would be the one that most closely approximated tortoise-shell, banned world-wide since 1973 (and pretty closely approximated artificially by Dunlop decades ago with their Tortex line.)All the picks I had used until a few years ago had a finite shelf-life. The plastics simply wore down from the act of playing and it was nothing to wear out a pick a week.Blue Chip changed the landscape forever with their proprietary picks of some space-age material that is soft enough to pluck the strings without the harshness of a harder material like metal, but practically indestructible. I still haven't worn out any Blue Chips in my collection. But I've lost *several* (and by "lost" I include some that may have developed "legs") and this brings us to the chief detriment of those picks: They cost about $35 bucks a piece!Dunlop has entered the "premium pick market" with gusto - The Guitar Man at the local store let me try his - he had played the same exact pick for 2 years and I was impressed by the quality of the pick. If they didn't play and sound good I wouldn't be here writing this - but the texture and tone are superb and the "speed bevel" gives me an angle of attack in every way on par with those competing picks. Now you may be saying "FIVE DOLLARS for THREE GUITAR PICKS???"Well - yes, if you're serious about tone and speed and all the things serious pick-users care about. At a similar price to that top-of-the-line pick these would be contenders. But since I can get TWENTY of these for the cost of ONE of the others - my cases will never be without a few.Now - make sure you get the shape and thickness you desire, and give some thought to whether you want a smoother surface (could be slippery) or with the grip printed onto the surface (better grip, but took me a little getting used to.) Nothing wrong with experimenting - at this price you can afford to a little.
