Works fine, minimal camera setup. No problem. I just wish it came with a holder, or a pigtail or something, to make it easier to keeo up with because it is small. For example, the one that I had for a Canon camera came with a holder that would attach to the camera strap.

Worked great on first use after purchase. Did not work on second use a few weeks later. Replacing the battery with a fresh one did not remedy the problem. Do NOT purchase!

I bought it because I lost the remote control, but it's too bad compared to the products produced in Korea. But thankfully it works with the Nikon camera. There is no part to hook the remote control. It only works as a really simple function. There are many difficult parts to trust.

A certain number of reviews claim this doesn't work, but the majority indicate it's fine. Thus it was very obvious a LOT of people don't know you have to set the camera itself remote shutter mode. This will disable the built-in shutter button. On my D3000 you go to the ">i

Considering the price I can't complain. It does tell you to keep the battery out of the remote when not using. You have to totally point it towards your camera. No hiding it behind your back etc. so keep that in mind. I bought it to grab a family portrait with all our children. It is tiny. So loosing it is super possible if not kept in a safe place.

I was honestly a bit hesitant and wasn't sure if it would actually work but it does! It can be difficult to point it at the camera but also hide it from view but man it has been a life saver! I thought I would have to clone myself in order to get photos of myself with my camera but with this remote I don't have to!

"The picture is just for reference. Didn't use flash or tripod (sitting on the counter) and it was cloudy out so they are dark"Works great once I figured out what I needed to do for my Nikon D3300. We will see really how far It will go distance-wise when the camera is on a tripod and I am on or with a horse. For set-up, I went to release mode (bottom right stacked squares) move to 2s, and pressed OK. Pictures are inside at 12,24, and 5ft. Considering this item is only 8+change it is a handy dandy item to have. Just for reference the remote at no time emits a light red or any other color. So it's hard to determine if it's your inability to program your camera to the proper settings or if this doo·dad is not working.

I had purchased another cheaper option on Amazon and it was horrible. You had to push the button 20 times before the camera took the shot. This one on the other hand works perfectly. The button feels good, feels like it won't break over time. It fits nicely in your hand. The only thing I would suggest; if they were to create an updated version is to make a hole in the back for your keychain or lanyard. Because it's small and easy to drop or lose. But I'm much happier using this one than the last one. Worth the price.

Despite this camera working for the D3400, it does not work with the D3500! This is not the fault of the manufacturer of the remote shutter but rather the D3500 does not have a remote shutter function. Which is essentially Nikon's fault. I will say the build quality is rather nice for the remote, I just wish I was able to test it!
