The metal attachment bracket split apart when attempting to use it. I had to remove the old one from the old cable and reuse it! Next issue was the small diameter of the new cable: It flexes at the furthest end of travel and can't complete the mode change to defrost. Does anyone actually test this stuff before it gets sold?

It perfectly with no problem. It's been on my jeep for about a month now and haven't had any problems.

Worked for my 2007 wrangler 4dr. Someone said the placement of the silver clip is key and that is definitely true. Make sure you have the vent selector switch on the windshield “defrost” then ensure you push the white vent wheel to the front (all of this is to ensure you have the correct position selected for the silver clip placement). Not a hard job just a little patience.
