Mounted it on my JK two door when I went to 35s. Adjusted to highest setting, could possibly go one notch lower. I’m not going to redo it(that tire and wheel are heavy). Only thing I would add are remember to put on larger snubbers, while driving off road my spare sometimes sets up a vibration. I wouldn’t say it’s the fault of the mount, just an incomplete install at this point. Overall very pleased.

The lugs they send do not fit correctly and strip the bolts when tightening. Just wasted an hour in the hot sun sweating my balls off.

2007 JKU. I have an aftermarket body armor fender with tire carrier. Unfortunately, the locking mechanism came undone, allowing the carrier to swing open while I was driving, this torqued the carrier angle on the pin forcing me to lift up and rest the carrier frame on the bumper each time to engage the hook. No Bueno.So I investigated replacement options and for the most part I was looking at spending $800-$1000 for a new bumper/carrier combo and I really just didn’t find that appealing. Took a chance, I purchased the door hinge reinforcement upgrade, and this tire carrier. And I’m very pleased. Very simple bolt on. Comes with all the hardware you need. Just need a socket wrench. The carrier is Height- adjustable so even with a large tire you should be able to make it work for any aftermarket fender. I’m comfortable with the metal and quality. Came with lung nuts. I have a 3rd brake right ring mounted behind the wheel as well. Good snug fit. Door opens easily. I have no complaints or concerns.
