I have an above ground 16ft pool and the 16 inch pump is working great. I don't even hear it running.I took my time and followed the picture directions and was able to set it up in less than an hour. No leaks. My advice is make sure to backwash and rinse sand before you start filtering. If you take the time to read and follow the instructions and don't just start putting things together, you will not have a problem. Great cost for the pump.

Les instructions pour le monter sont très claire et facile a comprendre contrairement a plusieurs commentaire par d'autre client. il n'y a aucune futie nul part et semble solide. parfait pour nos besoin pour une petite piscine de 8X6X2 pieds de profond.

First off, yes the directions suck. But other than that. The pump does not leak if you put the clamp on right. It takes some time to get it tight. A little pushing on the side of clamp, until it is firmly in place. Tightening the bolt each time. I finally got it tight enough to prevent leakage. Don't be afraid to buy this pump.

I’ll keep it shorts. The company has wonderful customer service. I got the damaged box deal and saved big on already a good priced item. But it came missing the main clamp. I emailed the company via Amazon and on a Saturday within a few hours someone had a clamp packed and ready for the mail. It came quickly and the pump is working perfectly. I would buy again

So I read all the negative reviews on this filter about how it leaks and how people couldn't figure out how to put it together because there are only pictures and no written instructions. Well, as the title says, it's not rocket science. Basic intelligence will tell you to clean all the seals after filling it with the silica sand because sand in a rubber seal won't create a seal and will leak. Duh. And when attaching the hoses you have to lubricate the tube before it will slide over the corresponding o ring and you tighten the c-clamp. Just a little spit on the o ring and inside the tube and they slid on like a champ. The c-clamps have a raises middle section which obviously means that the middle of the c-clanp goes over the o ring inside the tube before tightening. Failure to do so will simply tighten a hose that's a little to loose before or after the o ring and once again create a leak. Maybe it's just me but the pictures were very precise, everything had letter labels and the c clamps were obviously meant for specific hoses. If you're not confident in your skills to put together a 5000 piece jigsaw puzzle or attach a garden hos to your spicket on the side of the house, this is not the pool filter for you. But if you have basic intelligence, know anything under the sun about o rings and c clamps, this is the best bang for your. Buck. The competition brand was 3 times as much, wouldn't arrive for 3 weeks, and this one showed up next day before 8pm but made it by 2pm. I waited till the wife And kiddo went to bed to set it up and single handedly installed it in under 2 hours without a single problem, leak, didn't have to Google anything to do it or search for YouTube videos for help. I used simple common knowledge and after the 1000gph was installed for 45 minutes it already filtered the entire 800 gallons of water 1.5 times and judging by the stars on the top of the water it's clearly worth its weight in gold. I will be recommending this to all my friends and even offering to help them set it up if their IQ is as low as some of the negative reviewers I've read about this product. Just make sure to run the rinse cycle for about 30 minutes prior opening it up to full circulation "as it does state in the written instructions" so the sand has a chance to settle into place and then presto, flip it over to full circulation and your set. One of the other benefits I've found with this filter it that it takes 44lbs of silica sand that is sold in a 50lb bag. So when you do the flush to clean the sand, you still have an extra 6lbs to replace the small amount you may lose because silica sand is a finer, washed sand made specifically for these ftwrs, spas, and even aquariums. So long story short, if you don't have Any clue about any pool installation other than the 10 ft Intex that killed your yard last year, seek advice. It's not rocket science and with the right knowledge you'll get an amazing product for 1/3 of the cost as it's competitors over night instead of 3 weeks. Last piece of advice. Silica sand is often used in masonry. It's washed, very fine, lighter In color and is usually mixed with wight Portland masonry to do grout work. Call around to masonry ND stone yards for it first because I got my 50lb bag for $20 including tax and drove 3.2 miles to pick it up. Not home Depot, Lowe's, Walmart, target, or even this siye can be at that price. Just a little tip. The only difference between pool sand, play sand, and silica. Sand is the grain size And silica sand has been washed as not to taint to color of the grout the manon is using to til your bathroom, kitchen or tiles around your inground pool. 5 stars all the way And I will be getting a second one for next year when we upgrade to a lot Rger pool because 2 of them will be more than enough, 66% cheaper, and in my mind, a better product. Oh yeah, the adapters for the hoses, which it comes with, also will for almost any size pool hose you already have.

I have a small 10,000 litre pool, so wasn’t looking for anything elaborate in regards to a sand filter….this one was cheap enough for me to take a gamble on. It’s been a bit over 3 weeks and so far so good. Filters MUCH better than the paper filters, but doesn’t seem to flow as much water….doesn’t seem to be an issue though. Instructions kinda suck, but a couple searches online make setting it up and operating it pretty easy

Le produit est médiocre. Acheté en août et il coule comme un panier percé après 2 mois d'utilisation. Tous les joints d'étanchéité s'effritent et finissent par casser. Très insatisfait par le produit. Je ne recommande pas.

Thr directions are terrible. Absolutely terrible. But customer service was quick to respond, though I think there was a language barrier. It leaked for a while, slowly at first then in 2 days we lost 3 inches of h20. TIP:: AFTER YOU TIGHTEN THE RING, TAP IT WITH A RUBBER MALLET(my hubs used a towel and a screwdriver) this way you do some voo doo that will let you tighten the screw more. We filled it all the way up with sand. So far so good. You get what you pay for.Edit... it has been less than 1 month and the hose that attaches to the intake already has cracks and has broken. I cannot find a replacement anywhere in stores. Waiting to hear back from customer service.

Instructions were very unclear. I wasted a couple hours of frustration trying to figure out how to use it since the instructions were only about how to put it together. And those instructions were not great either. Only pictures and you have to review them carefully to figure it out. Eventually, I was able to piece together information from Youtube videos on other similar filters to figure out how to operate it. One tip, you have to hook it up to a full pool for it to pump. I wasted time trying to just stick the hoses over the top of the pool wall into the water. That didn't work. When I hooked it up to the connections on the side of my pool, then it worked. I think it relies on the pressure of the water from the pool to work. Will see how it goes but at least for now, seems pretty well made and seems to be working ok.
