It took me 20 minutes to open this container of needles, breaking the black backing piece off in the process. It’s possible that I’m incompetent and have no idea how to open this, but I was attempting to pull off the clear piece, and it wouldn’t budge. Now when I eventually got the clear piece off, and I was able to test out a needle, I found it to be great quality! I have only used DMC needles before and I noticed that the thread typically frayed and caught in the eye of those needles. There was absolutely no fraying/catching while I was using the John James needle.Summary, container was almost impossible to get open, but I loved the needles once I was able to open it.

If you need a variety of needles for basic sewing then this is it. They’re small needles that mom used to use to get splinters out. Good to have available around the house. Made in China despite what the ad says. The diagram on the back spells it all out for you.

I like the dispenser for travel. Nice assortment. Would have preferred more tapestry Needles but there is room to add some to the container.

I really like how this package dispenses the needles, and John James needles have always been great quality for me. On the down side, once you remove the package from the card it is affixed to, there is no chart on the back telling you which types of needles are in each slot. Probably not the best if you are a novice.
