My boat flooded and I thought the sensor was the culprit. Bought this exact replacement and tested and it worked then I put in the bought. I does seem to react to the presence of water half way up its height.

Smaller than mechanical float switch my Johnson pump came with and reportedly more reliable also! I’m working with really limited space for a ‘portable’ (self-contained) bilge pump package so both factors are important! This one works great in tests I’ve run.

My gray water tank has a fitting specially made for these so it’s my only bolt on option as far as I know. I have bought at least 3 of these in the past 4 years or so... so it’s not of great quality.Update: ordering yet another replacement... Bad quality!

The original Johnson electronic floats went in my sumps after 3 years of usage. I replaced the one last year, and the other one needed to be replace this year. I ordered two when I placed the order this year so I had a spare. Strangely enough one of them didn't work out of the box and I had to install the second one. Haven't gotten around to sending that broken one back. I wish they'd last longer, but I guess the dirty water fouls the electronics over time.
