Update 06/09:Bad design.... One of the clamp's pad broke off after using them only twice.There's a small snap washer and it's gone or never was installed. Now the pad isn't connected to the screw anymore.Excellent customer support: They promptly sent a replacement.----Good solid construction. I used them to build a transom-mounted fishfinder transducer mount.They're solid! Grip nice and strong.Good price too.Highly recommended!

Using these clamps to make a boat mount for a fish finder to an aluminum boat.. right opening and has rubber grips. Perfect.

Beware....1. The jack screw is too short and as a result, the clamp will not grip surface les than maybe 1/2" thick.2. On one of mine, there is plastic flashing on the jack screw from the knob molding process that further limits the closing.3. The rubber pad on the screw head is poor quality, loose and could fall off at any moment, revealing the end of the screw that could mar a soft surface. I returned mine.

I bought them for mounting my Striker 4Plus fish finder to my canoe gunwale. Using two clamps for this may be an overkill. One probably would have been fine. Works great! Very solid, lightweight, and sturdy metal clamps. Threaded holes already drilled. Just add hardware. Used a sample piece of Azek plastic decking. There are many fishing applications for this product. I am considering buying more to make some PVC rod holders for my canoe.Great product for the price!

I use these to stabilize cardboard displays on my drafting table while I affix components for my collages of historic events before taking them to the framer. They fit securely over the 1" raised table top and the rubber components protect the table.
