I have been looking for stick incense that smells like the Incense of the West pinion incense blocks. Those blocks have a strong authentic pinion wood scent but they are hard to light and they tend to split and fragment while burning. Also, they don’t last very long. These sticks smell almost identical to the IotW blocks, with an authentic pinion scent, but they are somewhat weaker. They also last a little bit longer and are very easy to light. I’m not sure I will purchase more in the future though because per stick they are more expensive.

They absolutely do deliver that fireplace and campfire scent. However they're smaller and thinner than expected, so they burn quickly. It would take at least two burning at the same time to fill a room with that scent. They're still worth it.

This brand of cedar, Douglas fir, pinyon pine, are the best scented American wood smoke scented sticks I've come across. Unfortunately, they are rather expensive, and they only last at best 15 minutes. Good for a quick burst of aroma to make the house smell like a ski lodge, but not a sustained aroma.

Depends on your desire, but these are the most disgusting incense I have bought, maybe 40 years ago in college they would have done the trick. I always buy Paine's Balsam Fir Incense. I tried to re-order my Paine's and they were out, so I researched a few others, this advertisement demonstrated a "large stick", with many good reviews. The sticks are no more than I could purchase at a local Smoke Shop. Good news is, Paine's did fill back orders, and a Pain's showed the same day. Paine's truly smell like Lake Tahoe pine trees, camping, a fire burning...they bring me peace all year long indoors.

I cant say enough good things about this companies incense sticks. They are perfect for indoor use on a cold day when you live in an apartment but dont have a fireplace. Piñon Pine is my favorite but perhaps Im partial since I grew up in East Texas where our bonfires were almost always Pine.Things to know:1.) Ive successfully used these incense sticks in my apartment on ocassion without the smell of smoke lingering for more than a few hours. Even after using several sticks withing a few days the smell always seems to dissipate quickly.2.) The amount of smoke produced is very very low. Ive never had my smoke alarm go off even with 2 sticks going at the same time.3.) I deffinitely noticed mild allergic reactions to the sweetgrass sticks. So anyone with allergies to particular plants should be cautious of the sticks they buy.4.) Evidence based scientific studies have shown that smoke of any kind (especially camp fire smoke) is bad for your lungs. So maybe dont breath the smoke directly.I like to use one stick every couple weeks when friends come over. Especially on a cold night with Alcoholic beverage / Herbal Tea / Healthy Smoothy in hand. Id much prefer being outside, but if your stuck in an apartment in the city these are great :-).

came rather dried out and some of the sticks were damaged and didn't burn well.

When you factor in the shipping this is fairly pricey, but for me it's worth it. We are desert dwellers for over 35 years who transplanted to the east coast upon retirement. This incense smells like a desert campfire, like home. It burns for over 30 minutes per stick, and the scent lingers a respectable time after that. If you are expecting the usual black powdery wrapped on a stick kind, with a perfumy smell, you will not get it. This is brownish and looks to be made of the real thing rendered down and applied to the stick. One review said something about it smelling like the stick. NO! It smells like desert campfire wood. All natural. I will get this again, but am parceling it out because of the cost but again, if you are a desert person, it's worth every penny.
